Madonna has purchased oxygen machines for each of her homes.
The pop star credits the gas with increasing her energy levels and combating jet-lag.
The Hung Up singer originally bought the machines to give herself oxygen facials, which she says help her maintain a porcelain doll-like complexion.
After indulging in the facials for a year, she discovered other uses for the machine.
Madonna told a German magazine: “You can also take the oxygen machine and inhale if you’re feeling really tired or jet-lagged, which is one of the reasons I have them at home.
“You just lie down for 10 minutes and put it in your nose. They are really great.”

Madonna has launched a scathing attack on the congestion charge in London, admitting she refuses to pay it despite being charged every time she floats the toll.
The pop superstar, fresh from claiming the Best Pop Brit last night, is entitled to a 90 per cent discount on the charge because she lives in Marylebone.
However, Madonna refuses to apply for the reduction because it will involve giving her address out, something she feels uncomfortable about, resulting in a £100 charge for each breach of the rule.
Speaking backstage at The Brits, she explained: “I’m pissed off about the congestion charge. It’s ridiculous. I live there and I’ve got to pay.
“I can’t pay because they want my phone number. Why would I give my number? I may get a pay-as-you-go phone so they can’t know where I live.”
A Transport For London spokesman, speaking to The London Evening Standard, insisted Madonna is not entitled to “special treatment”.
He insisted: “You have to prove you are living in the congestion charge area to get the 90 per cent discount. That means giving your address, which is only fair.
“The rules are the same for everyone. No one gets special treatment.”

Madonna overcame a hernia to attend the Brit Awards, it was confirmed last night.
The 47-year-old pop queen, who is renowned for energetic dance routines, had what her spokeswoman described as “a minor operation” in the United States last week following her show-stopping performance at the Grammys.
The mother of two, who now lives in London, last night received the award for Best International Female Solo Artist at the Brits. The spokeswoman said the star had fully recovered.
Madonna was accompanied to the ceremony by her husband, Guy Ritchie. The couple have been dogged by rumours their marriage is in trouble.
When Madonna’s name was read out, Ritchie went to kiss his wife, but she appeared to turn away. In her acceptance speech, she thanked everyone except Ritchie.
The singer even thanked Stuart Price, the British producer with whom she has been linked. She ended: “Last, but certainly not least, I would like to thank all of my British fans because without you I would just be another singer from across the Pond.”

Madonna and Prince will attend tonight’s BRIT Awards in London.
The two A-listers join the huge list of stars confirmed to be on-hand at tonight’s ceremony at London’s Earl’s Court.
And rumour has it that while Madonna sits on her wonderful arse and enjoys the show, Prince will actually perform, although this has not been confirmed by organisers.
Meanwhile, Kaiser Chiefs and James Blunt are likely to be biting their nails at present, as tonight they will battle it out for top honours at the star-studded ceremony. Both are nominated for five awards apiece.
Battling it out for the MTV Base-supported British Urban Act are Dizzee Rascal, Ms Dynamite, Lemar, Kano and Craig David.
Show will be broadcasted tommorow at 8.00 pm on ITV1.

It has been a whirlwind of a week with Madonna performing at the Grammy’s. I hope you all enjoyed the performance. Backstage at the Grammy’s, Madonna’s assistants and stylist spelled her name out in roses on the floor to help her feel less nervous about the upcoming performance. Even so, at the last minute some crystals fell off of her Miu Miu shoes and the stylist was on the floor gluing them back on! Luckily, the girls pulled it off just in time for Madonna to join the Gorillaz on stage for this epic performance. After the show, there was a party in Madonna honor where her and her friends danced all night and celebrated their success. I wish I had some pics, but there were NO cameras allowed into the party. I did manage to snap a rehearsal shot! I hope you enjoy!
