Single tickets for Day 2 of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival – the day featuring Madonna – has sold out. The internationally acclaimed music festival is April 29 and 30 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. The Los Angeles-based promoter, Goldenvoice, announced today that two-day tickets and camping tickets are still available. But ticket sales have been cut off to the Sunday lineup featuring James Blunt, Paul Oakenfold, Tool and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, besides Madonna. Tickets are $165 plus $2 to be donated to charity and applicable service charges for two-day tickets. Saturday tickets are $85 plus $2 for charity and service charges. Camping tickets for $35 a person are sold separately.

The Queen Of Pop reigns supreme as the most-successful female solo artist in Capital Gold’s All-Time Top 500 Albums Chart as verified by the UK’s official chart company. The chart, based on UK chart positions and the numbers of week spent in the UK Top 75 album chart, was played out in full on the UK radio station on Easter Bank Holiday Monday April 17.

EBay’s web-based phone service Skype has been given the go-ahead by EMI Music Publishing and Warner Music Group to sell song downloads from the two companies at an online music store.
Skype could sell the songs via its existing online store, which offers Skype-compatible hardware and accessories to the service’s nearly 95 million users. The music store has not yet launched, but more information will be available this week, according to a company spokeswoman.
At the site personal.skype.com, users can already purchase generic ring-tones for $1.20 each, but the deals with EMI and Warner could include tracks from artists such as Madonna, Rob Thomas and Green Day at undetermined pricing.
According to EMI, Skype now has license to use songs from the publisher’s catalog for downloading, subscriptions and master-tones on a world-wide basis, though in order to do so, Skype must also get permission from individual record labels. So far, only Warner has consented.
