Madonna always surprise me!

Madonna is a trader to her own country. She has made millions of dollars off her fellow Americans and what has she done? She packs up, leaves her people behind and tries to solve other world problems. There are so many problems in her own country that she hasn't even begin to acknowledege. There are orphans hungery in her own country of the U.S, people dieing.

geeze Jake...ever gotten out of America yourself?? Unfortunately other countries don't have all the programs for helping the poor like our own country does. I feel for poor people all around the world but honestly American poor are pretty well off. They can get public assistance, food, shelter, clothes, job assistance and running water which isn't the case in some other countries. I've been to Africa myself and felt ashamed for the lack of assistance our rich country fails to provide. You would be amazed just how lucky Americans are! I also commend Madonna for bringing her daughter along with her. With any luck Lourdes will grow up to be an educated, compassionate, well diversified and proactive young lady. Unlike some of the spoiled, self indulgent, classless, offspring of other wealthy Americans...Hmmm...does the name Paris Hilton ring a bell? You call her a trader! I think anytime a person turns their back on ANYONE in need, regardless of what nationality they are, they are the real traders!!

I'm not even American. I'm Canadian. And you proved my point. She is a trader. There is poverty beyond what you have seen in your country. And besides almost all of you Americans are poor. Entertainers like Madonna and large companies have taken out of your system and have not put anything back (look at some of the large auto companies and clothing companies to name a few). They have abandoned the population, for they have milked the markets resources dry, so they move on and suck resources from other markets. I have traveled to the ghettos of the U.S and let me tell you, it is ashame. So does that make those people less significant in the world? And let me tell you something about your country, unlike Canada which happens to have the best systems in the world, thanks to our govenments, U.S doesn't have much in way of helping the poor. Actually, the poor in Canada live very well off, hence why our low crime rate. Your country needs the help of celeberties like Madonna to help a country that is headed for disaster and if you can't see it, well your just as blind as everyone else. And besides, she is expoiting Africans for her own capitalistic greed, (remember, she truly is American). And About her daughter, she is spoiled. She is being taught that she can just fly her way into a poor country, and expoit the poor for her own material needs, hence what her mother does. And one more note, the govenments of the African coutries are to blame, America does give hundereds of millions of dollars but the govenments sqauander the money away. And Pais Hilton just sucks. I still think Madonna is a gifted entertainer and an ICON. I just tell it like it is.

America is the richest country in the world, Malawi and many more in Africa are LEDC's they are in desperate need of help, madonna along many others are helping them. so what is the harm in her going there first. shes not a superhero, no one is, but one person can make a difference it will take a while but there is hope for everything!

Why must eveyone be so judgemental and negative. I think Madonna is great....I've been a fan for 24 years and have much respect for her. That is what is wrong with the world so much hate. look what you started Jake! You know, after reading what you've written I agree with you to an extent. It seems you're very knowledgeable on the affairs of the world. I guess the lesson learned here is that if you're unhappy with the way the world is, do something proactive to change it. You yourself have listed several ways that you've tried to make a mark on this planet. I have done the same as well. I think Madonna is just trying to do the right thing. I don't think she's out for publicity for herself. Good God the woman can take a shit and the world knows, she doesn't need anymore press. Possibly the reason she's focused her attention on Africa is that if she tried to step foot in an American orphanage she'd be mauled to death by paparazzi. I think it's important to note that alot of the charity she does in America goes unnoticed. She merely sends off a check and we don't see that. And maybe Lourdes is spoiled, but look at who her mother is! Madonna gets everything she wants but she had to bust her ass for it. Lourdes's life will never be anything like a "normal" person's life simply because of who she's the offspring of, but I do still admire Madonna for instilling education and exposing her to culture and seeing poverty. And by the way, Canada rocks! Nobody can say shit about Canada! I've been there many times and the people are awesome, the cities and country sides are beautiful and the shopping is to die for. Canadians do indeed take care of their people! Their health care is incredible!
