Liz denies “Licorice”
Madonna’s record label has denied reports that her new album will be called ‘Licorice’ and will come out in late April.
Billboard.com reported that Sirius Satellite Radio host Larry Flick, a former Billboard editor, announced the title and release date on his ‘OutQ’ show Thursday.
‘Sirius does not know what they are talking about,’ Warner Bros, spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg said in an email to Reuters. ‘Wrong title. Release date wrong etc.’
Flick reportedly aired two songs from the album, ‘Candy Shop’ and ‘The Beat Goes On,’ both of which leaked online earlier this year.
The new album will be Madonna’s last release of new material for Warner Bros. before she begins a wide-ranging 10-year deal with Artist Nation, a new initiative launched by concert promoter Live Nation. Warner Bros. will also release a hits collection.

‘Santa Baby’
–Madonna (1987)
Madonna had been around the block far too many times to get away with playing the infuriating Betty Boop-ish ingenue. When Eartha Kitt made a case for being a good, deserving girl — “think of all the fellas that I haven’t kissed” — it was mildly amusing. When Madonna trotted out the line, it was just another reason for Sean Penn to start throwing ornaments.
Madonna is burning up – and she’s suing – because her ritzy upper West Side co-op allegedly won’t let her expand her material world into a neighboring apartment.
The Material Girl has filed a summons in Manhattan Supreme Court against the board and management company at her Central Park West pad, a luxury building where she already owns a 6,000- square-foot duplex with its own gym and beauty salon.
The two-page summons accuses the co-op board and Midboro Management of breach of contract for allegedly holding up the sale of Julie Clark Thayer’s seventh-floor apartment and orders the transfer of 868 co-op shares to the singer.
Thayer declined to comment.
Madonna moved into the building overlooking Central Park after she was rejected by the board at the San Remo in 1985.

Madonna has christened her final Warner Bros. studio album “Licorice,” and will release the set in late April. The news was broken today (Dec. 6) on former Billboard editor Larry Flick’s Sirius Satellite Radio show “OutQ.”
On the broadcast, Flick also aired two songs from the album, “Candy Shop” and “The Beat Goes On.” Both cuts leaked online earlier this year.
Unconfirmed reports from the fan site DrownedMadonna.com say Madonna previewed the album in recent days for Warner Bros. staff members in New York. Kanye West is said to guest on “The Beat Goes On,” while an older unreleased tune, “The Devil Wouldn’t Recognize You,” appears in a new version.
As previously reported, following “Licorice” and a greatest hits collection, Madonna will record for Artist Nation, a new initiative launched by concert promoter Live Nation.
The 10-year deal encompasses all of Madonna’s future music and music-related businesses, including the exploitation of the Madonna brand, new studio albums, touring, merchandising, fan clubs/Web sites, DVDs, music-related television and film projects and associated sponsorship agreements.

Pop superstar Madonna’s family speaks to adopted baby David Banda in three languages.
Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie speak to him in English, her daughter Lourdes speaks to him in French and the family have classes in the Malawian tongue Chichewa, sun.co.uk reports. As a result, he has started talking in a strange combination of the three, answering ‘Oui, oiu’ to most things.
The couple use the few Chichewa words they know which includes mummy, daddy and hello and occasionally Madonna sings a Chichewa lullaby she knows as Ritchie plays a guitar piece to it.
A source said: ‘David constantly wants his mum to hold him, asks for kisses, smiles and seems extremely attached to Madonna. She is completely ga ga over him.’

Guy Ritchie is giving interviews for the US debut of “Revolver”. Here’s an excerpt from the interview he gave to Reuters:
Reuter: So, how’s married life these days?
Guy Ritchie: I enjoy it enormously. Wish I’d done it sooner.
Reuters: Many people said it would never last, so what’s the secret to a happy showbiz marriage?
Guy Ritchie: Pretty much ignore all the stuff they say and write about you.
Reuters: But Madonna just signed this huge deal reportedly worth $120 million over 10 years with concert company Live Nation. Do you ever feel your career gets overshadowed by hers?
Guy Ritchie: Don’t know what you mean! She’s got her career and I’ve got mine. What can you do? She’s Madonna.
Reuters: The critics were pretty unkind when you remade “Swept Away” with her.
Guy Ritchie: Were they? I thought our remake was fine It’s a funny thing, as once we made the movie, I went, ‘Oh yeah, that’s the movie we wanted to make.’ It wasn’t supposed to be a big deal. It was just supposed to be a pleasant remake. And she was good in it. That’s what I couldn’t understand, because she was conspicuously good in it. But what can you do?
Reuters: So would you work with Madonna again?
Guy Ritchie: I don’t know. We don’t want to stick our chins out again.
Reuter: Then, who’s in charge at home?
Guy Ritchie: I’ve got to tell you, we’re just like any other married couple.
Reuters: So she’s in charge?
Guy Ritchie: Yes!
Reuters: Any plans to adopt more kids?
Guy Ritchie: Listen, you’ve got to speak to the boss about that.”
Reuters: Your new movie, “Revolver,” came out two years ago in Britain, but it’s just now being released in the United States. Is it true you had to re-cut it radically?
Guy Ritchie: No, not radically. I took 10 minutes out, one story that simply illustrated what had happened previously, and it seemed to confuse people.

Madonna’s new look
Newsflash: Madonna has of late been seen out more often than not in her regulation Adidas tracksuits, dark shades and neglected roots.
However, she wowed us on the red carpet this weekend as she and husband Guy Richie hosted a screening of his movie Revolver in New York.
Dressed in Dolce and Gabbana it seems her Madgesty has had a new hair do. A glossy polished 1920’s flapper inspired, girlie curly bob that we just love. We don’t see Madonna dress up a lot anymore….but when she does she still gets it really right.
We suggest you steal her style, bin your GHD’s and give this look a try this Christmas party season.
