McCain camp lashes 'outrageous' Madonna

John McCain's campaign hit back at Madonna on Sunday after the pop diva began her world tour with a concert that bracketed the US presidential candidate with Adolf Hitler.

McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds angrily condemned the segment of Madonna's concert in Cardiff yesterday that appeared to draw a comparison between McCain, Hitler and Zimbabwean strongman Robert Mugabe.

"The comparisons are outrageous, unacceptable and crudely divisive all at the same time," Bounds said in a statement reported by Fox News.

"It clearly shows that when it comes to supporting Barack Obama, his fellow worldwide celebrities refuse to consider any smear or attack off limits."

Madonna's apparent swipe at McCain came during a performance of the song Get Stupid, when the Republican contender's image was flashed up alongside images of destruction and global warming and of Hitler and Mugabe.

Towards the end of the song, pictures of Beatles star John Lennon, former US vice-president Al Gore, Indian Mahatma Gandhi and McCain's Democrat rival Barack Obama appeared.

Love it, even though since Obama snubbed Hillary, I am not sure if I would want to vote for him.

I have had enough of duddy guys in key positions. I hoped that Hillary would win. Too bad it didn't happen. Oh well there is can still be a next time.
Madonna’s message should be studied.

God she is a hottest goddess.

She can support Obama of course, but putting McCain next to Hitler and Mugabe makes her look stupid. I don't understand why she did that, she is normally a clever person....
I would vote for Obama, but her way of showing her support doesn't help the democratic party.

Same as Chriss here, I think she is the one that looked stupit showing McCain next to Hitler, I mean c'mon, I would think more of Obama in that position, I just think she just should have stayed away from both, I mean we really don't know them until one of them gets to the "chair", she can't or we can't know one or the other is a Hitler, I just think it was stupid

Maybe the yes fans will vote now for Obama without thinking twice but the others will think trice not to, makes you think the other way, I mean c'mon, I love M but I know she lives in a fantasy world very very far away from ours, so go figure
