Madonna has ordered her lawyers to foil a cheeky bid to put her raunchy love notes to an ex-boyfriend on public display.
Organisers of the Simply Madonna memorabilia exhibition in London want to display 17 notes and seven photos Madge sent to boyfriend James Albright in the early 90s.
A source close to Madonna said: "The letters contain some very intimate thoughts and understandably she is concerned.
"Who would want their private sentiments to someone they loved revealed to the world?
"Her lawyers have sent out a warning which she hopes will do the trick."
Albright, who dated the singer for two years after working as her bodyguard, sold the letters last year to a firm specializing in Madonna memorabilia.
They were due to go on display at the Old Truman Brewery in east London in February next year but it's understood they may be withdrawn because of the legal threat.

Well...eventough im huge M fan...to see the love letters she wrote to her exboyfriend is the last think im interested to see...honestly.
So mr. Albright take it easy man...some of us are not dying for it at all...
Btw. you betraying...and you loosing it for shallow money...
Madonna's career is much more interesting than her personal life (idon't mean something bad but she works sooo hard and it's bad dealing with her life than her job)
Why is Madonna so concerned??? She obviously doesn't care what she shows and tells in her concerts. A little double standard?
they should put those letters on display! the money they'd make from people wanting to see them would easily pay any legal fees. when you're a celebrity nothing's private anymore...unfortunate as it is, it's true. anything done in the dark always comes to light.
Isn't Em just a little bit of a hypocrite. She was putting it out left, right and centre in the 90's and NOW she's getting worried!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have no interest in seeing these letters, but she knew at the time the notes and letters like these could be made public at some point. I don't think she has a leg to stand on.
