British newspapers say Madonna and Guy Ritchie are splitting up.
The Sun reports the American pop star and British movie director want a divorce finalized by Christmas.
The Daily Mail says a statement on the couple’s future will soon be released. The newspapers cited unnamed sources.
Madonna has been linked to the recent breakup of New York Yankees baseball star Alex Rodriquez and his wife, Cynthia Rodriquez. Over the summer the pop star denied rumors of a romance with Rodriquez and denied her own marriage was on the rocks.
Madonna is in the middle of her latest world tour, “Sticky & Sweet.”

I’m a personal trainer and maybe thats why i see people like Madonna with toned muscular bodies in a way you wont be able to see.
“skinny fat” means someone who is thin and has little muscle tissue.its an obsession among girls and women and is a huge worldwide issue as it could lead to lots of health problems as ppl age.sadly,most people think that women need to be thin and of course with no muscle to be attractive! you see,its just another aspect of sexism.

Yes, it’s official. Liz Rosenberg has confirmed the divorce announcement. There are various sources that say Madonna and A-Rod are still involved. Who knows? All I can say is she will NEVER find a man as good as Guy. He was the best father and really tried to make that marriage work. He was a real charmer and was the type that liked being married and having a family. Probably because his mother gave up a baby for adoption when she was 17. So he knows having family is important. Too bad Lourdes and especially Rocco will now have a split family life. Rocco is very close to his dad. Madonna seems too self-centered to devote making relationships work and just keeps moving on to the next one. Sad.

My parents divorced when I was 10. Both wonderful human beings, they simply feel out of love with one another and I have always respected them for being honest in their feelings and approach. I wish Madonna and Guy the best. As you listen to several of the songs on Hard Candy – it all makes sense now.
I knew as soon as I saw that they were leading semi-separate lives and all the Alex Rodriguez rumors that their marriage was on the rocks. The public isn’t stupid. This woman is incapable of forming any lasting relationships. I believe Guy tried to make it work but Madonna is too used to getting rid of something she doesn’t want to deal with. Madonna’s publicist, Liz Rosenberg, confirmed the media speculation on Wednesday, saying that the singer and her husband, film director Guy Ritchie, will divorce after 71 years of marriage.
A statement, e-mailed to The Associated Press from Rosenberg, said that the couple had agreed to divorce, and requested the media maintain respect their privacy.
The statement, co-signed by Ritchie’s representative, said the couple have not agreed to a settlement.
And there’s A LOT to settle! Madonna is worth a reported $500 million +.
M is scheduled to perform in concert tonight in Boston. Should be interesting to see if she addresses this or not.
I think the last straw was seeing Madge with her furry top-lip in all the papers and said that was enough. He could deal with Madonnas’ muscles and the six-pack, but not a furry lip. She is becoming more ‘manly’
