I’ve heard the Johnny Vicious remix and I love it … it’s the only mix I’ve heard though, besides the album version, and I can’t wait to go out and buy the maxi-single. Speaking of … does anyone know when the single is coming out in the U.S.? If you do … PLEASE e-mail me!

  2. Michael says:

Stuart Price aka Thin White Duke aka Jacques Lu Cont’ s mix of MILES AWAY is on youtube now…a bit average…xoxo

    yes!

i’ve got those mixes you mentioned

    Peter Rauhofer does M proud!

i am glad to hear Cleo is doing a COAD remix project,
Cleo’s remix of Fighting Spirit is…truly a GREAT M remix!!!!!!!!!

if you come across the Deep Dish remix of Impressive Instant
i’m pretty sure you yourself will be quite impressed!

you had said you were not too crazy about She’s Not Me,
but i came across a Offer Nissim live remix of She’s Not me

    i must say….
Offer did that song some true remix justice!

unfortunately, it was recorded live at Space in Barcelona
    by a fan with a cell phone…?

however, i was able to get the gist of the remix
    So damn cool!

thanx for sharing your remix taste with me

    Well Done!

  4. Michael says:

Cleo did remixes of everything single track from C.O.A.D to great effect…in particular ISAAC. Another one’s that definitely worth hunting down is Idaho’s brilliant work on JUMP…the mix is called Idaho’s Family Disco. It’s very similar to the original but he’s given it more muscle. Go to his homepage on youtube and subscribe…he’s about to start remixing the entire C.O.A.D. recording.
Other re-workings I highly recommend include:
    1. LOVE PROFUSION (Passengerz Hell’s Kitchen)
    2. BEDTIME STORY (Deep Dish)
    3. EASY RIDE (Tracy Young & Giangi Capsis)
    4. IMPRESSIVE INSTANT (a breathtaking Peter Rauhofer effort!!!)
    5. THE POWER OF GOODBYE (Junior Vasquez Twilo)
    6. I LOVE NEW YORK (Peter Rauhofer - par excellence of course!)
    7. MOTHER & FATHER (yet another stellar performance by Mr. Rauhofer!!)
    Have fun hunting these down…
    Michael
    xoxo

    hell 2 the yeah dude!

    GREAT remix of Hey You
(i dig this remix far more than the album version)

i’m still very much in the Mizz Veronica / Allan Natal /
    Janpier Beauchamp remix haze

    i swear….

how do these fine folks dream up these
oh so fresh & sweet beats?!?

i need to buy a DJ remix program and attempt to see & hear
what i come up with, i don’t think it would be as great as the
    remixes mentioned above

but, i would do my best!

thanx (yet again) for turning me onto (yet another) great remix

i found (and found that) i like the Brutal Bill Marquez
remix of Give It 2 Me

    as well as….

Fighting Spirit (Cleo’s Sparkles N’ Tears Mix)
Give It 2 Me (Janpier Beauchamp Mix)
American Life (P3’s French Antiwar Life Club Edit)

perhaps you have already heard these goodies,
or perhaps you can give them a taste..?

please, if you come across any other youtube remixes that
    catch your fancy…let me know

    it’s much appreciated!

    M ROXXX & RULES!

  6. Michael says:

I found the most briliant remix of HEY YOU! on youtube yesterday! Hunt it down…it’s called the Celebrating The World mix…10 minutes of hi-energy dance…xoxo

    yes…!

i was able to download the remixes you mentioned
(and a few more that i found on my own)

i was even able to get the Get Stupid video interlude MP3!

    so damn cool!

i can relate to your angst regarding
some of the songs off Hard Candy

i wasn’t crazy about 4 Minutes when i first heard it,
but, after listening to it a few times, i was able to enjoy it,
then i heard the Peter Saves New York Edit, and that was all
i needed to get my 4 Minute song fix in a much better way

    a while back,
i downloaded 17 of the 24 (or 25) Sticky & Sweet tour mixes

there were really great in quality, and i was able to experience
the tracks without the visuals, so i am very much looking
forward to seeing how it will look with M in the picture

an official remix project would be really great,
but like you and Gustavo have pointed out, given M’s split
with Warner due to lack of a more aggressive PR campaign
to promote Confessions on A Dance Floor, an official remix
    project would not happen

perhaps Live Nation will deliver where Warner Brothers
    could not…?

i sure hope they do M proud

    time will tell…

  8. Gustavo says:

Agree with Michael, now that she’s out of Warner chances of getting a remix package of Hard Candy are pretty low, although Warner could come up with such an idea I don’t think they would be that bright (willing) over there…

  9. Michael says:

Dare I say it? You can download the remixes off youtube… It’s remarkably easy. Just make sure you’ve got Real Player (at least that’s what works for me) and away you go. I’ve already made my dream remix album of Hard Candy and I like it more than the original (hunt down the orchestral version of VOICES…exquisite). I’m one of the few who just DID NOT like 4 MINUTES, I’ve never been too hot for SHE’S NOT ME and I detest SPANISH LESSON. While RING MY BELL was only included on the Japanese edition of HC, I’ve always been puzzled as to why she never included it as part of the HC project…that track rocks.
I once read an interview with Madonna and she said that the remixing of her music always sounds better than the original cuts so I was hoping she might put that attitude to the test with HC. I guess there’s still hope if she delivers a remix project but now she’s left Warner I think the chances are pretty slim…

Thanks for the clarification on the posting of URL’s

it makes sense to do what is done in that regard,
your info regarding that is much appreciated

    to: Mike

    DUDE!

thanx for the Mizz Veronica remix info!

    i hate to say it,
but i really don’t care for the album version of Candy Shop

for me, it’s very saccharin sweet, (much like Spanish Lessons)
it’s not my flavor or to my liking at all, i tried in vain to get into
it’s groove(s), but it’s just not working for me

    however,
the remix treatment that Mizz Veronica did to Candy Shop…

it’s 9:59 seconds of 100% pure fresh blossom honey
    goodness and sweetness!…..oooooooh so sweet!

now THAT is a great version of Candy Shop

i wish M would use that particular remix as an official
release on a CDM of any future CDM’s M may release

the remix that Mizz Veronica did is quite broad and moody
in it’s sound and body, from the flamenco guitar, to the down
    - tempo kick bass, the epic synth cords, it ALL works together,
the tempo and body of the song truly punctuates the carnal
intent of the lyrics so effortlessly…slickly produced

    Well Done!

Mizz Veronica even makes Pharell’s tepid vocal style seem
far more valid then they sound on the regular album version

i’ve had the Mizz Veronica remix on repeat play
from Youtube for a good long time now…

it was love at first listen

THANX for turning me onto (yet another) great remix
of M’s fresh (and now truly sweet) beats

now if only that remix were available for download!

    ah well…

Madonna Rocks. After all these years, nobody makes great songs the way Madonna does. There are a lot of nice remixes available on You Tube. But so far I especially like these two remixes. I can

shardy your comment got blocked by our spam filter, probably because it included a lot of links… and it’s published now… I’ll only delete comments that include links that let you download commercially available copyrighted material. Streams and YouTube stuff is allowed.

  14. Michael says:

Thanks for responding shardy! I forgot to mention the epic remix of CANDY SHOP by Mizz Veronica…amaaaazing!!!!

  15. shardy says:

thanx for the remix info regarding youtube

i attempted to post the links to them in this reply,
but i think All About Madonna monitors the comments

so i think that the comment with the youtube
links will not be posted due to it’s URL

    but,

i wanted to thank you for turning me onto the bounty
of unofficial remixes of Miles Away that are on youtube

i hope the webmaster of this site allows my attempted
post to be seen, it always a cool thing to discover and
hear fresh new interpretations of M’s great music

    Well Done.

  16. shardy says:

    yes….

the remixes you mentioned that are on youtube
    are all pretty damn good

Beat Goes On (Allen Natal / Bryan Reyes Mix)

    Incredible (Samuel Starburst Extended Mix)

Miles Away (Idaho’s Distance Suite Edit)

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C50rousrNUY&feature=related

the list of fresh and new mixes goes on and on, and on*…..
thanks for turing me onto the Youtube remixes

    it’s much appreciated

  17. Michael says:

The best remixes for HARD CANDY (with the exception of Paul Oakenfold’s and Jody Den Broeder’s work on GIVE IT 2 ME) can all be found on Youtube. Hunt down Allan Natal’s brilliant (very colourful) work on THE BEAT GOES ON, there are some recently added mixes of MILES AWAY by Idaho that are exceptional and a guy who calls himself Samuel Starburst has done a wonderfully atmospheric job on INCREDIBLE. I often wonder if Madonna would mine the great work you can find there and develop a unique remix album for HARD CANDY giving all these hard-working punters a moment in the sun. It would be a first creating an album from there and wouldn’t that be just like her???

  18. shardy says:

    no,

i have not heard the remix you mentioned

    is it good?

i’ve that Kaskade, Morgan Page, Aaron LaCrate, Headcleanr,
and Peter Rauhofer all have done original remixes for Miles Away

i am not sure if Stuart’s remix will be as great as his previous
remixes he did for M, but i sure am hoping they will be

  19. Mike (and not Mike or the other Mike) says:

    Hey Shardy,
I agree with you about the remixes for HC.
    They’ve been completely lackluster.
I’m really hoping Stuart’s remix of “Miles Away” is cool. Did you hear the Disco Mix of “Miles Away” that was on boyculture?

  20. shardy says:

    Finally!

Stuart Price is remixing M’s music again!

i wish he would have done a proper
remix for 4 Minutes and Give It 2 Me

some of the official remixes for Give It 2 Me
(i felt) were well beneath M’s talent

    all boring and predictable,

with the exception of the Fedde Le Grande,
Tong & Spoon, and Sly & Robbie mixes

the album version of Give It 2 Me
far out shown any of the official remixes

    however,
the unofficial remixes are pretty good

i wonder what Stuart Price has done with Miles Away?

    looking forward to hearing it!

  21. Jaime says:

I think that Goldfrapp, Cut Copy, Diplo or Mark Ronson should do a remix for Miles Away… Let’s wait to hear what Jacques Lu Cont has done with Hard Candy.
