The success of Madonna’s 2008 “Sticky & Sweet” tour – she reportedly earned $280 million in ticket sales – may not have hit its final note. Madge wrapped up her world tour last week, but a source told us, “She will be back in London this summer performing a few more shows.” We know one person who won’t be in the crowd – Guy Ritchie. Madonna’s ex-husband is living in the London home they once shared, while she held on to their Manhattan place. Her rep did not return e-mails.

I am getting excited already!! The only thing is that M has never done a second leg of a tour months latter. Normally once she has completed the tour its over. Also with the release of the sticky and sweet dvd in march I can not see her doing the same show after the dvd is released. Please dont get us excited in Australia (AGAIN!!) then have us disappointed. I want proof that you really are who you say you are!!!
Also i have heard rumours that she is recording new material this year with a release to be in 2010. how does this supposed tour work that into the equation?

Madonna is set to begin the S&S Tour second leg in late June in Europe and then visit Japan and Australia in early September 2009. The Tour will begin in Europe and end in Australia touring for just under 3 months. Dates to be announced in the next few weeks for Europe. Japan and Australian dates will follow in a couple of months time.
I know this as i work as one of Madonna’s tour crew, i drive the big 18 wheeler trucks with the props, stage etc.

No, sorry I do not think Madonna is touring Switzerland again, cities in Europe with contracts already signed include Milan, London, Moscow and Belgrade, but more are to be signed, so she may tour Switzerland. Japan and Australian contracts will be worked out at a later date. And the tour will begin in Europe in early July and finish in late September 2009 in Australia. That is all i know.

however, i don’t see her and that MASSIVE tour
doing it all over again for another 6 months
if M does end up performing at the Glastonbury fest…

Madonna’s crew announced in Brazil that they have been contracted for the S&S tour second leg begining in May 2009 in Australia, then head to Japan, then to Europe again and finish in Israel in early September 2009. The Crew stated that rehearsals will begin in March 2009 and the show will have a revised setlist (less songs from Hard Candy) and a few costume changes. The rumor going around is that dates will be announced either this month or next month worldwide.
(Also the show will not tour USA, Canada, Mexico, South America again)
