Following the critical success of Madonna: Confessions, the powerHouse team, Madonna, and Guy Oseary return with a knockout punch: Sticky & Sweet, a dynamic look at Madonna’s celebrated Sticky & Sweet Tour, which broke all previous records and became the number-one highest grossing tour of any solo artist ever—with Madonna playing before 2,350,282 fans and selling over 280 million dollars’ worth of tickets. The tour has been extended through the summer of 2009 and will have passed the mark of 400 million dollars in ticket sales by the time it’s complete.
In over 500 full-color photographs taken on, and backstage, during the course of this historic 58-show tour, Oseary documents the four acts of the rock-driven, pop journey that is the Sticky & Sweet show—Pimp: A mashed-up homage to 1920s deco and modern-day gangsta pimp, with Madonna making a grand entrance dressed in Givenchy; Old School: Madonna tips her hat to her early-80s, downtown, New York City dance roots, with flashes of Keith Haring and the dance culture vibe of the time, including the birth of Hip Hop; Gypsy: A VIP trip to La Isla Bonita, infused with the spirit of Romanian folk music and dance—a tour de force; and Rave: Far-eastern influences emerge all sparkly and sporty.
Guy Oseary is the CEO of Maverick and Madonna’s manager. He has worked closely with Madonna for almost two decades, and was the only individual permitted to take photographs both on and backstage on the landmark Sticky & Sweet Tour. Oseary’s first book, Madonna Confessions, was published by powerHouse in 2008.

I think the Sticky/Sweet/Hard Candy phase of her career will be remembered as her most uncreative, unadventurous and badly dressed…and those photos are just flat-out unoriginal. And yep, she looks like a demented vampire in the second shot.
Ugh I’m sorry but a front row all acess pass and a digital auto flash+focus canon do NOT make you a photographer…I find it offessive that her manager is making books..how about stepping up on the videos and singles and artwork that has been laggin’ ass since he took the helm?..seriously I don’t even buy him as a fan..he’s an attractive..hooked up vampire..the world is full of established TALENTED photographers…give me a pass and a camera..I’ll mop his ass off the front stage and kick it to the nose bleeds where he should be checkin’ out the show to scoop the business side…wake up Madonna. HACKATTACk!where’s your #1 hit? Where’s the innovative artwork? Where’s the fucking videos you use to bang out like a champ?…not under GO’s cap that fer shizzle!
in the second picture her teeth look rotten?
I want one!!!!!!….looks great!
i am all for a bit of photo retouching,
but the first photo of Madonna just looks UNREAL
it’s look good,
but it also looks just too Photoshopped – quite fake
i think guy oseary has deluded himself into thinking
he’s a far better photographer than he actually is – -
because he is not
shardy i can’t get why u hate oseary so much…really
haha!
it’s a bit of a long story,but i will say
that i found him to be all too nasty to
find any redeeming factors in him
kendrall why you have to be so miserable?
looks good!
Madonna’s been on a creative downward spiral since she’s been with Oseary. I saw him in person with Madonna at an appearance. Not a smile or even an acknowledgement that her fans, who were waving and smiling at M and were extremely well behaved, were even there. He always looks miserable. What a jerk.
i met him at SS tour he was walking by vip area and talked to a few fans …he was nice…polite..and really handsome….
Kendall,
yep,
i totally agree with your assessment of guy oseary
i too have seen what an aloof and rude person he is in
real life, i think guy is the type of person that covets
Madonna more than even some of her admirers do,
it’s like he’s jealous of even having to share her airspace
with the general public
i’m sure he has his points where he is “nice”
to Madonna’s fans, but i think it’s all business
i wish Madonna would broaden her horizons
in regards to relying on what he tells her to do
when it come to her music and tours…etc…
i think guy is a “yes” man, which would explain
why (in my opinion) Madonna’s last album and
this current tour aren’t as interesting as her work
in the past
ah well…
shardy madonna’s manager never, and i think no one does or did, affect her work.we all know she does what she really wants.
i agree that madonna hasn’t been on a creative high in recent years. i hope her next era will see the return of madonna THE ARTIST, rather than just madonna the showgirl. i love the showgirl… she does it better than anyone, but she needs reclaim her crown of pop innovator.
the airbrushing must have cost a FORTUNE!
not that she needs it anyway.
According to AMAZON.com it will be published sometime in NOVEMBER or 2009!
When is the book going to be released?
i hope it goes on sale in portugal.it would be awesome
Another money making book- but i’ll be buying it as it looks great! My sister got the Confessions one at the Cardiff show last year- hope it is on the merchandise stand when i see her in London and Manchester!
