Hi, and I agree with you Esther, in some points.. I hope this new S&S so-called; redesigned or whatever, would be much better than the last version… like a prayer was a really nice performance.. very overwhelming.. just cant wait for her new single+video.. pls madonna do something really amazing…
I on the other hand prefer Sticky & Sweet.
CONFESSIONS, it was amazing. SURE. BUT, if you compare it to S&S, Madonna is way more energetic. She’s more COMFORTABLE. That’s one thing you can easily distinguish. Madonna was just more vibrant in S&S.
Her costumes? As much as I loved the CONFESSIONS costumes, the S&S pieces were more “costume-y”. More “costume-y” in the sense that it’s really JUST for the stage, not something you can wear in public…unlike some pieces in Confessions, you could wear outside (like the Forbidden Love, Like it or Not, Sorry, or even Ray of Light get-up).
And yes, I do believe S&S was SOLELY all about MADONNA only. The whole tour was founded on MADONNA herself, Madonna the GLOBAL ICON, not about the musical genre.
Well, we all have our own opinions, it’s just that I can’t say S&S was BORING, to be honest, if you really look at it, S&S even had more COLOR (literally).

You are absolutely right, I was afraid no one was thinking like me about the energic & the fresh direction that characterize the S&S.
well, she,too, realized her sticky and sweet tour was not that good as expected; the cloths+make-up,dance, singles etc…. if i remember her confessions tour it was A MA ZING; the beginning where she is with horses…that disco ball, how she changed her songs and remixed them perfectly, cloths everything was wonderful… sticky and s. tour was a bit boring; she dresses very boring+normal dance, singles boring, again and again la isla bonita etc.. she has sooo many songs, why not dancing with one of ontouched single from her carrier like rescue me, love dont live hier anymore, spanish eyes, bad girl and many more…
by the way if she carries on with all that obsession to stay young and plastic S. stuff, she will end up like M.J. i kind of understand the super stars they have so much pressure to keep it going and being nr 1, still there more than that and one can get always professional help to keep your mind cool!! instead of drugs and co. i am not anti madonna neither MJ.. it makes me really sad to see them suffering like that..
madonna says in her songs; you dont have to be rich u dont have to be beautiful, and get her face done?! hm…
we have the next ten years to witness many more Madonna tours and productions. I like Sticky and Sweet and what it represents. To me its showing Madonna in a more atainable way. She feels more comfortable with herself with Sticky & Sweet without all the production & spectacle. I can feel the organic quality of her choices. It almost seems like shes just getting comfortable with things, & great things will come from that comfort. Its been happening tough since like Live Earth, and her album promotion tours. She doesnt need costums and theatrics so much anymore. Its more about her, her singing her dancing her body. I think what she is setting out to prove that shes a world class

I think the new arrangement and choreography
of Vogue was amazing in concert!
It was one of the highlights to me….totally fresh and sexy!
Hopefully SKY1 will rebroadcast online for all of us to see.

Like A Prayer was stunning in this show, most def the most powerful performance of the song yet. It’s such a detailed number, i wonder how they’re gonna present it on film. I hope they do it justice.

and replaced it with Holiday for the summer leg of
the tour! (ugh!)
i hope the DVD release will have Heartbeat left in it,
i think replacing it with Holiday was a really bad idea
supposedly, Dress You Up will replace Borderline,
but it will be mashed up with the early 80’s song
