Madonna is trying to recreate her beloved Wiltshire manor in the middle of Manhattan.
Architects in charge of renovating her new £20million pad have been told it has to be a dead ringer for Ashcombe House, which she shared with ex hubby Guy Ritchie.
A source said: “Madonna is obsessed with making it a match with Ashcombe.
“She wants matching wallpaper, fabrics and furniture. She has meticulously documented her old home room, by room with photographs and she’s sent a team of assistants to stores that stock authentic period pieces.”

Actually, this sounds very true to me. Madonna had to give up that property to Guy and is more NY-based now, so it makes sense that she’d want to re-create a beloved estate in her current home. Besides, she’s probably trying to recreate it for her kids, so that when they travel back and forth they feel a bit of stability in some odd way…For those who say she hates the countryside, I don’t agree. She flies to the Hamptons to ride every chance she gets.
The tabloids crack me up! They write such stupid stuff!! Madonna hated the English countryside. That was one of the issues in her divorce. Why would she want to re-create that crap!!
She is so happy to back in the USA and away from the snobby English countryside people!
