in terms of her recent singles, “hung up” and “give it 2 me” were purdy fucking rad and forward-thinking. both are definitive M tracks, classic M. and altho “give it 2 me” wasn’t a hit in the US (and why would it be a hit in america when american music charts are filled with so much garbage?), it was huge where music charts really matter: europe. the thing about madonna now is that she no longer chooses her more daring, brilliant songs as singles, so therefore IT SEEMS like she’s not making brilliant music anymore. but she is. and in terms of her videos, she’s still producing genius filmwork… for her live shows, not for her promotional singles like before.
o, and yer right… “celebration” isn’t remarkable. but it’s great background music, music to talk over. she should have released “revolver” as the first single.
Totally amazing………… After 26 years she can still roll out an amazing club hit! You go Madge. This track FUCKING ROCKS!

First of all, I never even heard of “Lady Gaga”. But from what I understand, she is a generic wannabe piece of top 40 poop.
Second, the Sticky outfits were extremely low brow in comparison to Confessions highly innovative and artistic Gautier stuff. And yes, Madonna went all out cheap as she did not have a designer, she got her fasion assistant Philips to hodge-podge a bunch of cheap thrift store crap.
