Even though I liked some of the early grand master flash and Rick James stuff, I am not into rap nor hip hop. I like Timberland too. However, Hard Candy was not so much hip hop oriented, but rather more late 70s funk and disco oriented. Pictures from Hard Candy album referred to that era too. Madonna’s skin contrasts beautifully with black background. When I first saw the cover of Hard Candy, I knew immediately that Madonna was planning a divorce. There are so much misperceptions about Madonna’s work, for people to talk about for centuries to come, which is good really. I don’t like straightforward stuff because they get boring too quickly (remember Mariah and her unemancipated albums)

the “hard candy” album was a link of an r&b and disco style!!! and the crescendo of “incredible” reminds me the madonna of the 80s!!!
yay! the hard candy album photos are some of her best photos this millennium! they could have used a better photo from the shoot tho. pitting her against a black background makes it look cheap.
