Hey, what about Burning Up and Dress You Up? All these other songs are already on GHV2 and the Immaculate Collection. No reason to buy it.
Have to agree. The only real reason to buy it is if these tracks are remixed somehow which I’m sure they’re not. The DVD on the other hand sounds like a must-have.
Some of Madonna’s greatest songs were not even released as commercial singles. Not to mention her hits qua sales of her singles are way too many to fit on few greatest hits albums. Although Madonna is known worldwide, many people are just beginning to discover her songs. Therefore, after nearly three decade, an ultimate collection album covering a wider scoop of her work is very fitting. By the way, Madonna’s upcoming album is not called the greatest hits, but a accumulation of some of her best songs, regardless of their chart positions. It is called, Celebration. Moreover, she and her fans have plenty to celebrate. She outlived, outsold, out earned all expectations and all her competitions. She got to rule the world and practically anybody who is anybody googels her name. If anyone doesn’t know Madonna’s name, her or she needs to go back to school and learn a thing or two. Madonna has dominated the biggest part of postmodern history.

she has released three greatest hits albums in nearly three decades (i dont include the remix album “you can dance” and “something to remember”)…not that much! mariah carey releases her greatest ballads every year!

You are right. I have to agree with you.
Mariah does not have enough material for one decent album let alone a greatest hits album. Most of her number one singles were duets, originated from other artists or radio stations were paid to play it thanks to the interventions of her record executive ex husband. Nobody remembers the lines to Mariah’s biggest so-called “hits”.
Madonna’s songs are practically everywhere instantly recognizable. I mean the single American life hit number 4 on the US sales charts and did even better internationally. Many people still remember it when they hear it. However, I don’t know anyone here who can mariah’s we belong together.
I don’t know who convinces Mariah to re release her boring songs every year. Even Mariah’s new stuff are not new.

I think all the tracklists are rumours, definitely. You Must Love Me is on it, I swear. I saw the title on the newspaper-like background from madonna.com & the album teaser ad. Dress You Up, True Blue & Who’s That Girl are a must!! I wish she’d also put This Used To Be My Playground & I’ll Remember, both were big hits in the US. Forget American Life, Hollywood & Human Nature. They’re all great, but not suitable for this Greatest Hits in particular – in my opinion. Oh, plus the official website already confirmed that it will be 34 classics.

well, we all know it will be a 34 song compilation and they are the songs that change the world. So they are significant songs. So start thinking of the songs that made the most impact to the music and the society. If u are a true fans u will buy this, but if u are not that you will start thinking about is it worth it? or I have all the songs…mmm because i downloaded them repeatedly but i dont have the cover sleeve cause I want to make them my own..hmm are u truly M fans.

People please, take a deep breath and relax. Do you really believe Madonna would format the first cd as basically The Immaculate Collection sans Live To Tell? I don’t think so, and that’s not even mentioning that she loves that song and wouldn’t leave it out. So lets just all wait until the official release comes out and THEN get mad about your song being left out, even though you, as a true Madonna fan, should know that a two disc cd would never have enough space to include ALL OF HER HIT SONGS, so there’s always gonna be some fans pissed about that. One day, when she’s no longer working her butt off and being so fabulous, there will be a box set, that would have it all.
Im not sure if i like the mixed up tracklist.
it goes against the usual through the years format of greatest hits, but im still unsure about it.
the album is greatest hits, so the album is probably going to be favourable towards songs that have topped the charts and been very succsessful, so sadly i dont think we will be getting gems like dress you up, angel and miles away.

I love 95% of the songs that Madonna has released so far. So regardless of the definitive list, I will certainly buy the upcoming collection. The long list of great songs, the new mix and the new tracks make it a diamond of an album. A MUST HAVE.

so the song “Revolver” was in fact recorded by Madonna?
this is most likely fake since it doesn’t have You Must Love Me and i can’t imagine Madonna not wanting that song on a career compilation.
i´m not gonna buy this, i have all songs, except revolver and celebration.
it’s a greatest hits collection, you know…it’s NOT a new madonna album…it’s a collection of madonna’s most successful songs…we all have it all! so what?

I don’t understand why the Power of goodbye, human nature and hollywood are there. Also these were successful in the UK and some European markets they weren’t big hits anywhere and definitely not the US (not that that dedicates their place on the cd).
Where’s This Used to be my playground, You’ll see and american pie… all of which were top 10 singles, two were number one!
The first disc is the Immaculate Collection just changed order. Also, what’s with the song order? It doesn’t follow any pattern. It should either be completely mixed or in order of release… some songs are together in order ( eg music, don’t tell me) and others are just thrown anywhere.
You’ll see definitely deserves to be there!

i think this is the best tracklist for a Maddy greatest..a GH is not for just fans and dress you up, you must love me, who’s that girl are not as classic as the songs included in this list..MTV and others Network don’t play them anymore even if we love these tracks so much and Warner knows that so well.i’ve just noticed that live to tell is not there but i think for same reason (the clip is not a classic)
I really hope this is a fake. The traclist is terrible. Just essentially TIC on disc one. Where is whos that girl, dress you up, true blue etc. If this is the final tracklist then warner has completely messed it up.
