Thereafter it’s her image manipulation and media savvy that impress – far more than retro confections such as Hung Up.

   Almost all of Madonna’s Grammy awards came since 1990. Most of her number one albums came out in the past decade. Many of her multiplatinum singles came out since 2000.
   Most of her records have been sold since 1989. At the age of 50-51, she out earned them all with 80 live shows.

   Madonna became took the world by storm in 1985, became a legend in 1986, was certified as one of the greatest music songwriters in 1989, created the true sexual revolution in 1992, became a humanist visionary in 1998, was certified as the biggest live act since 2000, joined the club of political revolutionaries in 2003, created yet more great and unforgettable, dance songs such as Hung Up, Beat Goes, Get Together,,, since 2000.

   Madonna Rules the world. She is the Cultural Queen of the Universe and a living Goddess.

   Marilyn was man made. Madonna is self made.

   Marilyn never achieved Madonna’s statues.

   Madonna is above and Beyond all of the man made starlets including Marilyn.

   Madonna’s body of work is a cause for Celebration.

   this cd spans madonna’s career of amazing hit singles. not a single female artist in the world has a better back catolouge. 3/5 is ridiculous.

   I have to totally agree with the reviewer. ‘Like a Prayer’ was groundbreaking in 1989- much like the Beatle’s ‘Sargeant Pepper’. It was daring, melodramatic, whimsical, intensely personal and very non-commercial. Now it’s all techno crap. Downhill all the way. What a disappointment to true Madonna fans.

   if he or she feels that Madonna “peaked” with her
   Like A Prayer album, then he or she must be deaf

   Like A Prayer is my least favorite album
   overall by Madonna next to Hard Candy

   Erotica / Bedtime Stories / Ray Of Light / Music
   Confessions On A Dance Floor are ALL some of
   the overall strongest musical endeavors Madonna
   has ever dared to release

   i do wish this latest Greatest Hits compilation had
   more of the lesser known great songs by Madonna

   but, then i suppose it could not be called a “Greatest Hits”

   i have to give the “reviewer” for the Daily Mirror a 1/1

   LOL! Who is this idiot? Madonna’s career was almost in its infancy when “Like A Prayer” came out. Think of the amazing work she did AFTER “Like A Prayer”! She only kept getting bigger and bigger and probably peaked with “Ray of Light” but with such a tremdendous career who can say what’s next for her? And the implication that she needed the money after her divorce only shows that this reviewer is completely clueless about Madonna.
