“What? No ‘Hanky Panky’? Is this some kind of joke? Given how obsessive her fans are, it’s a thankless task for Madonna to assemble a two-CD hit collection. But from the opening one-two of ‘Hung Up’ and ‘Music,’ two of her best ever, Celebration kicks off with pure bliss and never lets up. It’s a dizzying, nonchronological spin through the Madonna years, years it makes you feel lucky to be living through. Her hitmaking genius is unmatched and—with the new Eurocheese blast ‘Celebration’ and the Lil Wayne duet ‘Revolver’—undiminished. It’s almost enough to make you forget that they left off ‘Angel,’ which is just plain crazypants.” —Rob Sheffield

The ultimate immaculate collection? Ha! The Immaculate Collection is far superior in comparison to Celebration.
no Bad girl, no Deeper & Deeper, & yes no angel and no hanky panky, thats some crazypantshit right there!
Rolling Stone has always been a forward looking proud to be liberal type of magazine that got the point in Madonna’s work. They appreciate all of Madonna’s work especially the naughty ones.
Rolling Stone likes the bad girl side of Madonna even more. I do too.
Bad girl has turned out to be the greatest of them all. Despite her Goddess status, she has turned out to be one of the most humanistic people on this planet too.
Good Going Rolling Stone.
Great Going Madonna.
5/5…these songs are history, do not deserve anything less..
Rolling Stones have always given Madonna good reviews, they said some great things about her Erotica CD in 1992 and gave Hard Candy 4/5 as well so its no surprise, good for them.
I’ll tell you what is crazypants, no The Power of Goodbye. That’s crazypants right there.
1 billion stars for Madonna.
I love to hear good things about Madonna….she’s the best!!!
Go Rolling Stone. It recognizes a good thing when it sees and hears one.
“Recognises”.
Correct spelling should be encouraged; not rejected.
I would give it 5 out of 5. But this review is more telling about the ultimate immaculate Madonna work.
