Janet Jackson and Madonna are not planning on teaming up for a musical project, despite a report in a British tabloid.
The U.K. version of OK! Magazine reported that following Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards, pop icons Madonna and Janet, who were both part of the Michael Jackson tribute at the event, had decided to collaborate.
“It was a meeting of two great musical minds. Madonna was so impressed with Janet’s tribute to Michael that they started talking about how great it would be to honor him by doing something together…There was definitely something very interesting being planned between them,” a source told OK!, MTV U.K. reported.
When contacted by Access Hollywood, however, a rep for Madonna said the report was not true.
Additionally rumors that the two ladies went to dinner together following the VMAs also did not happen, the rep said.

IT’S SO COOL, it is indeed so cool that kicks Celebration & Revolver asses!!! OK The Lyrics can be little cheesy but it isn’t like the Revolver lyrics…cheap…like this stupid Lil Wayne (?) Madonna & Mirwais, like Madonna & Patrick Leonard & Madonna & William Orbit were the real artistic golden couples… Let’s hope that in her new album we will see something very different than before… Madonna needs to find new collaborator(s) and adjust them to her style. But in order to survive she needs to explore new things… Where is the Groundbreaking Madonna of old times??? She needs also to promote the album, not only with a World Tour, but with TV, Radio, Press appearances & WITH GREAT MUSIC VIDEOS (OK The companies don’t have the budget, but what the fuck she has enough money for a Blockbuster Video!!!!, her last great was 4 Minutes). And also she needs to explore new music styles, not only Electronica, Dance, Disco, R&B. A little rock will add to her image among rock fans also. And please don’t make a rubbish record just in order to reach No1 in Billboard Hot 100, Americans are so behind in music… only Hip Hop, R&B, Country… Pop will do them good (but not this today cheap american pop!!) The 80′S, 90′S were great decades for music… Although i’m a child of the 00’s music, i recognize that in those decades Pop music was groundbreaking and had something to say. PS: Hard Candy was a great record (Except: Incredible). Devil Wouldn’t Recognize You I believe is a modern classic!!! So Heartbeat & 4 Minutes!!! Give It 2 Me not much…
