I don’t think there will ever be another artist like Madonna. I do agree with Shardy that Lady GaGa is less generic than the other “pop stars”.

I was watching videos at the gym the other day and couldn’t help to notice that most of today’s “pop stars” are so influenced by Madonna and Janet Jackson. Every move and pose that I see in Britney, Christina, Pussycat dolls, Beyonce, etc. goes back to what Madonna and Janet have done. Maybe I’ve been around too long, but everything they do I’ve seen before. Not exciting. Lady GaGa, as crazy as she may seem, is mor exciting to watch than those bitches.

I personally don’t like Beyonces’s music at all and I can’t stand the way she dances. She’s no Janet or Madonna. No flexibility on that big body of hers. Or maybe she’s just too big.

Get Lady Gaga’s Disco Stick out of your ass, it’s so far up you can hardly think coherently. There is nothing new about her, she’s just recreating all the stuff Madonna and others have done. She might burn out or self-destruct because she’s going into it so hard and fast.

I would hardly call what she does “dancing” even her piano playing was horrible and she couldn’t hold the notes. It was like watching a Christina wannabe out of breath and without vocal training even though she probably has had some. She needs to work on her performances (vocals, dance, presence) instead of just shocking people.

Madonna gorgeous and very funny as always. Keep going and 5 years from now maybe we can talk about Lady Gaga. Now there’s no point talk about her carreer, let’s see in a few years.

And yes I think Gaga is taking the same steps Madonna did but she’s making them a little more fast. Gaga is doing a something like 1989 with 1992 from Madonna. She has to slow down a little because Madonna survive this era because she was already someone very important, something that Gaga isn’t yet.

do not belong in the same sentence

Lady GaGa is not the “next messiah of pop”,
she is however a bit more unique and less
generic then her current pop contemporaries

unless you can predict the future, perhaps you
should keep your narrow foresight to yourself

even Madonna can acknowledge
Lady GaGa’s moment and uniqueness

I love how everybody thinks Lady Gaga is the next messiah of pop music. She isn’t. People better keep an eye on Beyonce. That is one smart lady, one who understands how to keep an audience interested. lady Gaga will be a non subject in 2/3 years. You need to be more than a hype to last. Just ask Jennifer Lopez.
