Madonna reportedly joined Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his family to celebrate the Jewish Sabbath.
The Queen of Pop, who arrived in the country for two concerts as part of her ‘Sticky & Sweet’ world tour, purportedly witnessed the traditional Friday evening ritual with the leader.
The singer was said to have spent two hours at the politician’s home, lighting candles and delivering blessings, reports a news website.

Who am I to tell the queen what she should or should not do? She does what she wants anyway. That is a part of Queen´s privilege.
But as a long time fan, I really wish she hadn’t done that. Jewish people of Israel are very kind and friendly. At least that is my experience with them. They do NOT deserve to be attacked by Muslim extremists. However, let us be honest, extremists exist in all countries and among all religions including among Jews.
Everybody has the right to live and be free. That goes for the Palestinians too. I like the opposition party leader in Israel because she seem reconciliatory and more realistic. But I honestly can´t understand why Madonna agreed to meet with Netanyahu. I think Madonna should have also visited the Palestinians territories in order to see for herself the suffering of the people there at the hands of extremists of all sides. Extremist from one side does not justify the extremist actions from the other.

Kelly, I must admit that you are right on different aspects of this issue. However, lets not forget that at least part of the violence is to be blamed on the occupation itself.
As it stands now, unfortunately nobody (none of us) is safe on this planet. There are too many weapons everywhere and too many obstructions of justice by nation states too. To be honest, I think there is enough blame to go around. I don’t have anything against Netenyahu as a person. In fact I think he is so much like most of us guys (we like to have our cake and eat it too if you get what I mean. However, part decision-making process, is to show compassion and the will to make some compromise. There will be no peace without some compromise from both sides.
