On her first set of songs, how many artists has Gaga collaborated with? She gone to every length to gain fame. It’s funny how you think Gaga is “fresh” when she’s recycling all that Madonna has already done, including her music, outfits, tactics, and comments. But go on with your delusions. The is nothing innovative about Gaga’s music that’s why she has to dress up in trash bags and smear blood on herself on stage.
Cal, I’m a huge fan of Madonna’s music but Gaga IS a great singer/songwriter/performer. I don’t really see actual similarities to Madonna other than a controversial persona. Sure, Gaga is doing whatever she can to become famous – I think it’s called ambition and Madonna did the same thing. But, unlike Britney, Gaga has a great voice and is a talented singer & musician. I think Gaga tries a little too hard to be ‘out there,’ but she is the real deal when it comes to talent. And so is Madonna.
I never said she couldn’t sing. Sure she also writes song (with questionable lyrics but with good producers) and sort of dances, but her music isn’t groundbreaking or new, it’s pretty generic actually, it’s just that her persona and image drive her success and I see her copying a lot of what Madonna has done. She or her team studied Madonna quite thoroughly. You can’t say Gaga isn’t copying Madonna- from the cone bras, Gaultier collaborations, S&M attire, sex, bisexuality, religious imagery, trying to appeal to the gay audience, and countless comments. Madonna’s evolution was a lot more natural throughout the years and built steadily, Gaga’s is completely fabricated.

Babs really dropped off after only one week and yet Madonna maintained her position in the top 3 even up against brand new studio albums. Given all the promotion Shakira has been doing all over and heavy radio play, it’s kind of surprising she couldn’t chart higher.
So Shakira couldn’t beat Madonna in the UK?…wow, that’s pretty amazing knowing that shakira was promoting on British TV…now i would like to hear those bitches talking about how “irrelevant” Madonna is among younger artists….God for her!
