It used to be that any female recording star who really cannot sing is called a DIVA (classic example: Britney). Then, every pop singer who pops a no.1 single or any classless and tasteless woman is an ICON (Mariah, Britney, Lady Gaga). Now, everyone is being called a QUEEN (Beyonce, Janet, Whitney, Barbra, etc.). Whit deserves the title Queen of RnB. Whitney and Christina Aguilera are also cut above the rest. I don’t sick, I find it hilarious in an untasteful manner, when people tend to crown any woman that comes along as queen.
Madonna is a goddess. There is only one Madonna. And she is the last and only remaining multidimensional, multitalented, multifaceted performance artist singer alive. Nobody has as many international number 1 songs and albums as Madonna. No single artist has had 8 top selling sold out world tours like Madonna. She has done it all and she is still running strong. Just take a look at the world sales charts. Then you know who is the queen.
I find the haters pathetic. They have shown their true colors, and to me they have become so transparent despite their alliances and disguises.
The fact that they have tried for years to find the next Madonna goes to show you the level of Madonna’s magnitude and impact. Madonna has set a cultural standard that is practically impossible to replicate. Queen of r&b, queen of hip hop, queen of fat, queen of balalabala, withney, maraih, Britney, byounce, gaga, tiffany, debi Gibson,,,,,,,,They are all wannabees. But they will never be MADONNA. They don’t have, Papa don’t preach, Nothing Really matters, Like a prayer, devil wouldn’t recognize you, to their names. Madonna has.
The wannabees, may sound okay in the choir lines or line dancing lines but they never sound nor do they move as good as Madonna on stage.
Madonna is international stadiums and Arena filler. Other wannabe divas cant even fill up a Vegas town hall.

Do you really think Michael Jackson, Prince, Elvis had a voice like Michael Bolton,Peabo Bryson or Pavarotti?? surely not, they had their own voice with lacks and virtues, just like Madonna; she may not have the voice of an Imac Sumac, a Monserrat Caballet,Whitney Houston or a Donna Summer, but do you think she could have survived 25 years of success with no voice at all!? without any artistic quality or relevance? The hype of success that Gaga is having now is great for sure, I personally like some of her songs and of other female artists at their moment: Britney, Cristina, Fergie, Beyonce,Gwen Steffany and before them Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Samantha Fox, who were called “New Madonnas” and who also were claimed to have more talent than Madonna. However, it’s so silly to go naming someone as NEW Queen of this and that based upon such momentary success. And what’s funny is that this happens mostly with Female singers. Has anybody dared to call George Michael,Justin, Eminem, Puff Daddy,Usher, etc, the New Kings of Pop?, even when Michael was making the same Music and dancing the same ways, and having the same looks year after year? has anybody complained about he doing her usual “hic” sounds and called it repetetive ike when some complain about Madonna saying “yeah”?(GOD DAMN IT THERE WAS EVEN A SONG CALLED HEY YEAH!!!). Surely not, because the Pop Music gets nastier and meaner, more competitive and bitchy when it gets to Female acts and their fans will act like bitches to argueing this and that rather than just enjoy the hype of successs or whatever you want to enjoy of ur fave artists without trying to diminish others.
Maybe the problem is that: cataloguing someone as the Queen or King, but then again, Michael named King himself, Madonna didn’t, it was the Public who named her like that and the detractors will want or expect that she goes ruling every Music industry aspect to sustain that name through the years. THAT’S IMPOSSIBLE!, for many evident reasons. But in the end, it all goes back to the statistics,music and the Catalogue. There is no female artist that can stand a chance at Madonna’s Catalogue and Statistics.
Besides,For God sake, the woman is a mother of 4 CHILDREN NOW!!!…do you think she will go on visiting every tv program show or do as much of promotion as newcomers have to do under those circumstances? she got a life further than the Music industry.
2nd.- Madonna CAN ACTUALLY DANCE AND PERFORM!
3rd.- Madonna has put great pop tracks through her 25 years Career. Of course she cannot please them all all the time. She cannot go Vogueing all the time. Sge cannot go Ray of light al the time, and sif she does then bitches will surely say: oh she makes the same music time after time!
4rth.- As she said it very well, in the end, IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THE MUSIC. And she has a great Catalogue to survive the test of time.

Ripping off is not a crime, musicians even rip off music from others or as we call in the artist scene(get inspiration from-lol) it’s just that to ripping is one thing , but to go claiming that is the new innovative shit is another. Just go and look at more serious areas like Designers or even the Fine Arts.

True, but am sure Madonna would need a couple of years first, in order to perform live this way. And when I say perform live, I mean without pre recording herself and lip singing her new stupid songs. Some idiots think she sings and dance at the same time and they are wowed by her, but she really doesn’t. If Madonna was a real musician, she should also know how to play the piano or the guitar as well as know how to use her voice. You can definitely see that when she performs, not on tours (because her fans are crazy about her anyways), she is a total reck. She knows that she can mess up in any minute because she doesn’t have control – she is not a trained musician after all, even for basic stuff of music. I know, she thinks she plays the guitar because of the couple of chords she knows, but even that its an insult to guitarist and musicians. Madge needs to catch up on a lot of things to stay relevant the next ten years. She lost a lot of ground already. So let’s see if she can do that. Its not the 80′s or 90′s anymore. We are in the age of the internet now. 21st century. As a society we became more open and we know an innovator when we see one. Madonna even though talented and an OK performer, she have recycled herself many times. I wouldn’t call that re-invention and some like to think. I said it before, GaGa is a fresh air in our society now, especially after the 8 horrible Bush years. So what I would suggest is to all stop comparing the two because they are totally different. Celebration is a compilation of OLD songs from Madonna and not a new STUDIO album, which means that most of Americans or not Americans do already own them. For a compilation to reach No 7 in America is a remarkable thing and shows how strong and revelant Madonna and her music continue to be. Now in UK good compilations are always appreciated but never reach 1#. But Celebration did. The same happened to Canada which is another huge market. Madonna won Barbra and Mariah who offered a set of all new song while Madonna offered old and already owned. Celebration, even if it’s a compilation reached No 1 in the world chart showing that Madonna was, is and will be a global superstar, a godess, an icon and THE ONE AND ONLY QUEEN OF POP. And for the haters you put this in your mind: Madonna offered a compilation, a set of already owned songs and hit an amazing No 7 Her most recent studio album reached No 1 in the USA. The world is a big and interconnected place. All countries are relatively important. US would not be what it is now without the contribution and input of people from other countries.
If it wasn’t because of the worlds market, most people in the US would be standing in the unemployment line right now. The fact that America sells so many of its products outside the US goes to show you how important the world market is.
Madonna continues to sells very well in the US considering the fact that she has been around for a long time, the fact that she receives little airplay and the fact that the general music market in the US has been steadily on decline.

It’s just a numbers thing – the U.S. is huge and if someone is successful there, then they’re selling big numbers. The truth is the U.S. charts are a joke as is the musical taste of most Americans, so the fact that Madonna’s CD is sliding down the U.S. charts is really irrelevant because she’s huge around the world and I would think that global success is far more important that isolated success. Besides, most of these songs are tired and dated, so the fact that it’s selling as well as it is just proves Madonna’s staying power. Just a thought.

Yes, as some say, Celebration is over 800,000 thus far….Celebration doesn’t even reach the 100,000 in the US but passes the 700,000 out the US. So that you have an idea, Mariah has only sold 100,000 outside the US with an album of new music, Whitney Houston is around 1 million thus far, and over 3/4 sold in the US alone so that would give her around 200,000 sold outside the US. So this gives a hint of how terrible well Madonna is doing with a Greatest Hits album despite its poor sales in the US. The US is not a definitive market anymore. Just take a look at artists like Lilly Allen, The Prodigy, Depeche Mode; they all have sales of +900k to 1.500 k this year and have sales in the US below the 200k mark. So it is not like making it in the US is the last shit anymore.
