Madonna, U2 and AC/DC are among the finalists for the 2009 Billboard Touring Awards, which will be handed out at a special reception in New York on Nov. 5. The awards are based on global box office numbers reported to Billboard Boxscore from Oct. 1, 2008, through Sept. 30, 2009.
The finalists for the Top Tour and Top Draw awards, which acknowledge the top grossing and ticket selling tours, respectively, are the same three global treks: U2’s 360 tour, Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet tour, and AC/DC’s Black Ice tour.

Oh, that’s a bit unfair for her considering a huge chunk of her 2008 dates are cut off and tons of U2’s dates are within the deadlines. Well, hope she manages to pull it off.
Where is Mariah? In Vegas wearing her tacky glittered mini dresses or has she gone back to the choir line? I think Mariah should start writing about the memories of a failed wannabe queen who never had what it took to make a live show work. All Mariah had was a screaming voice, which was retouched to the nines in the backrooms of Sony executives.
Why even talk about Mariah? Don’t give her props just by mentioning her.
