Madonna will visit Malawi on Sunday to lay the foundation stone of a multi-million dollar girls’ school she is building, her charity Raising Malawi told Reuters.
The singer, who has adopted two children from the southern African country, is due to arrive on Sunday and attend a brick-laying ceremony in Lilongwe on Monday. The school is expected to cost about $15 million.
“She plans to meet the President Bingu wa Mutharika and together lay a foundation stone for her multi-million dollar girls school,” a staffer at the charity, who declined to be named, said on Thursday.
An AIDS epidemic has left over a million children orphaned in the impoverished country of 13 million.

ok! now heres your 15 million, heres your corner stone….now leave me alone, I have ligitmized my adoptions and will not be returning until the photo op for the grand opening of the school and then I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN!…unless im forced to..im too busy writing scripts,seducing young men and having plastic surgery.
p.s….I would think they could build a school in Malawi for about $500.

I just saw her movie on instant Netflix called I AM BECAUSE WE ARE…very sad and moving portrayal of the AIDS orphans and the interconnectedness of our planet…You even get to see baby David when we was being toted around and cared for by a young girl, an orphan herself. They mention the girl caring for 3 babies, and I suspect the other may have been Mercy, as Madonna said at one point that she encountered them both around the same time and chose David first due to his health issues.
