One of Madonna’s New York neighbors says the superstar’s loud music and frequent dance sessions are causing a commotion.
Karen George, of Manhattan, lives above Madonna in a building on Central Park.
She said in a lawsuit filed Friday against the building’s co-op board that the Material Girl is using her apartment as a rehearsal studio, forcing neighbors to endure “blaring music, stomping and shaking walls,” for up to three hours each day.
George complained about “unreasonably high-decibel, amplified music” and vibrations pouring through walls, ceilings and radiators.
The building’s board says it has already threatened to evict Madonna.
Madonna’s representatives didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

I’d read where that neighborhood was very quiet with many elderly people. If she is indeed playing music and making noise that loud, then it’s inexcusable, IMO.

If that neighbor wanted a totally quite place to live, she or he wouldn’t live in a NY apartment. Besides, I believe they have a police and social/ conflict intervention taskforces in NY too, when direct approach of the noisy neighbors don’t produced results.
It doesn’t appear that the neighbor in question has exhausted those channels yet.
If people could get their whishes by making unsubstantiated claims, everybody could easily evict those whom they don’t like to have living next to them.

As a New Yorker, there is nothing more annoying than having a neighbor that plays loud music at all hours or has a non-stop barking dog! It wouldn’t matter if the neigh is Madonna or Joe-shmo, when you come home you want peace and quiet, not to have to listen to someone blaring their music!
