agree, celebration does not sell cheap like horiah scarey & miley cyrus.does not cheat customer like gaga and britneybitch.sell better than shitney and j jackson in sales but almost the same as mj’s this is it. 1 stone kills 2 birds marketing strategy makes gaga sell more albums. she has universal full support in promotion does not mean the fame monster is a good album. the poor rihanna and j jackson being abandoned and ignored.
Mariah and Whitney’s so call all new albums are not doing any better. In fact in total worldwide sales, their new recycled albums are way behind Madonna’s Celebration collection CD.
Regardless of the mix Madonna’s celebration CD = wall to wall great songs and based on that, the sales for this collection CD will pass the 2000000 mark soon. Considering the price and the fact that it is a double CD, the actual sales will be double that amount.

Even though some of the edits were horrid (“Erotica”, Ray of Light”)and the booklet doesn’t even give any information for her superb career, this collection didn’t bomb like some fans think. Britney’s new hits debuted at #22 and Janet was #20 in the USA. Madonna was #6.
I still think some hits needed to be on the collection like “Deeper & Deeper” or “I’ll Remember” or “You Must Love Me”. Her 90’s era doesn’t get the justice it deserves.
The new tracks are a bit lazy and seemed forced. Very fast food pop. I wish she would have tried a little better. But overall, this collection delivers. Now lets look forward to some amazing music with LIVE NATION, or possibly the decline of Madge if she keeps making songs like “Celebration”. I still think she’s got some good tunes in her. She just needs to embrace her age and stop having this LATE mid-life crisis!
That is awesome how it wnet to #1 in so many countries. I was in best to buy Celebration and the young sales clerk say’s to me, “I don’t really know that much about Madonna”., So I gave him a brief rundown on the Queen. He kinda looked at me like I was crazy. His last reply to me was,”I did’nt know people were still into her”! I had to just laugh.
ya,all the youngster think gaga, britney bitch,rihanna,blah blah is the the queen of pop.in fact, madonna is original queen of all wannabe.just because she is getting older and wiser, she still rules in global music world.time to let the so called young generation who the real queen is
