As always most people miss the point of Madonna, and I rarely believe the woman is lazy! Experimental yes! Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, at least she ’still’ bothers to try (aka cares!)Madonna really doesn’t need to ‘Put herself “OUT THERE”‘ any longer, but she still does – We, You, still comment, and that is what makes her relevant as a musical artist today! How many of todays X-factor processed artists will be ‘relevant’ after 25 years in such a tough shallow industry?
We Like Madonna because the words of her songs hit nerves, evoke emotion and have what we believe an insight into the struggle of her life. Her words too often reflect our own emotions.
For those people who shout Madonna is over – I’m afraid its a broken record. Madonna has been a gonna for so long-er (I’m 40, I bought her first single from Downtown Records – they where bigger than HMV early eighties! She has always been over, but never went away – Thankyou for the inspiration to so many!) that I wonder if that is the explanation to her longevity.

I have to agree with the statements that she used to really put her heart and soul in to not only writing but performing her songs – which thus became Madonna classics. Her new/latest songs are more like fast food, enjoyed while being eaten but soon forgotten. It’s a happy/sad time to be a M fan – happy she’s still “singing” sad that her songs now sound like she’s either out of new and innovative ideas or things to say or she’s just putting out a song because she has to via her contracts with her record label. The lyrics “my sex is a killer do u wanna die happy” and the general lack of quality of this song and most recent other releases sound like songs she would have written at the beginning stages of her music career, not after she’s been doing it for 30 years. Disappointing.
Oh these people, putting so much Drama on this. Just enjoy the flow bitches, this song is way better than shit like Boom boom pow or Empire State of the mind. Some want her to always sell millions, have the best lyrics, the best tunes, the most innovative stuff…fuck off! she’s achieved all that there’s out to be achieved. Status like her’s won’t be deleted just because You(who the hell?!) don’t like her or find her disappointing.
Go get you a new artist toy that gives you all the missing elements in you and be fullfilled!

Oh Madonna. She has really lost it. Her next album needs to be cutting edge or she is finally a washed up hasbeen. People know that Gaga has a special quality like what Madonna had when she started out. HUNGER. Madonna used to sing her heart out in those old songs. She would just go crazy by the end of the song, “Burning Up”, “Dress You Up”. Now Madonna just sings the same boring way. She sounds good but you don’t hear the heart and soul and conviction she used to have. “4 Minutes, “Give It 2 Me”, “Celebration”. She sounds the same. BORED. No soul. Go listen to “love Don’t Live Here Anymore” and you can hear Madge busting that shit up. She couldn’t even hit all the notes on the scale of that song and she still pulled it off like a champ! Now listen to “Miles Away” and she just sounds boring and computer generated.

btw speaking of Gaga: Her new song Bad Romance is a rip off. She stole the sythesizer sound from a 1991 Dutch dance classic called Dominator from Human Resource. He got a call from a Belgian radiostation who told him to press charges. He’s even approached by several lawyers who want to help him. He’s not sure now to take any legal action, but he probably will..

Love it. Better than the album version. She’s targeting the clubs and the dancers where music really matters and not regarding the charts. Good on her for saying to hell with it all! This is where Madonna flexes her muscle best. She knows where she came from and this has a dance until 6am feel to it.
This is a really cool remix and i think its a total shame as Madonna will not be doing a video which means this will end up being with the same fate as Miles Away!

Warner Bros. did a good job on the very last single – a David Guetta Mix for the Eurpoeans, and probably the US will get the Lil. Wayne version. And honestly – David Guetta did this time a great job on Revolver – the Celebration remix was a horror!
And to Lady Gaga – hey, first of all, I think a big part of Madonna fans just love her too. And secondly, if Lady Gaga is not re-inventing herself like our Queen, she might be out of business quicker than a ray of light.
I think this version is better than the album version but I like dance music. Considering The US seems to have for the most part abandoned Madonna’s music, if I were her, I’d realise more dance orientated music that will chart everywhere else in the world except for the US.
As for those comments about Madonna and Lady Gaga, it’s way too early to tell whether GAGA will acheive the same success as Madonna.. she’s just re released her debut record, she needs more than one to tell. I wouldn’t write her off though, people did to madonna and she’s still going strong coming up 30 years later.

I sure hope she goes back to writing songs with some depth like she did especially during the ROL era. For someone of her accomplishments – these lyrics to “Revolver” sound more like someone who’s 16 years old. Madonna I think you can write more than “my sex is a killer”…it sounds cheap-ish. But hey, what do I know, it’s just pop music and maybe this is who she really is along with all of the plastic surgery/ cheek implants/botox.

I’m not a hater – I’m just being realistic and subjective and obviously not the only one who feels that Lady G has caught M off guard. You being a die-hard M fan can rest somewhat easy though – I’m sure all of the new talent and originality that M is facing from Lady G and others, will force her to try to become and produce some cutting edge music (and hopefully a video or two) which she so desperately needs to become relevant again.
That’s hilarious because musically, Gaga hasn’t done anything new. She’s riding the electro-pop wave that Madonna helped launch years ago. Gaga’s lyrics are simple and disposable, and there’s nothing avant garde about her music. She’s just doing recycled songs and stealing off of other artists from the past and present. She’s collaborating with everyone who’s been tried like RedOne, Garibay, DarkChild, and currently popular people like Walle and Beyonce. Madonna is always on her game and I think now that she is free from Warner Bros. we will see a Madonna like we’ve never seen before. More defiant and making music on her own terms like she did with American Life. Everytime Madonna releases new material its always not welcomed and panned immediately by critics. Then a couple years goes by and you realize how advanced she was for the time the album came out ex. Hollywood-American Life. The remixes she selected are what we were hearing in the last year in mainstream music. Celebration, a euro throw back: guess what? Euro is making a comeback in the circuit parties that mainstream public don’t even know about…yet.
