Will.i.am has confirmed that LMFAO will perform with Madonna at this year’s Super Bowl in America.
The duo, who are signed the Black Eyed Peas star’s Will.i.am Music Group, had been rumored as one of the surprise guests at the event on 5th February.
Speaking to Capital FM about Madonna’s set, Will.i.am, who performed last year’s Half-Time Show with Black Eyed Peas, said he was going to attend the game to watch LMFAO.
“I’m going to the Super Bowl this year to see my group LMFAO perform with Madonna,” he said.
“Check that out, Will.i.am Music Group is pretty freaking two for two. One year the Super Bowl the next year another group part of the Super Bowl in collaboration with Madonna. That’s still happening.”
Nicki Minaj and M.I.A have also been linked to Madonna’s Half-Time Show performance as they feature on her new single ‘Give Me All Your Luvin’.
But Madonna has so far refused to confirm the acts, only hinting recently that the performance will feature pom-poms.

It’s been interesting reading the comments– it seems like most everyone is disgusted, upset, and/or disappointed all at the same time. Clearly, this is not a good reaction. In a way it reminds me of the reaction to the leak of “Give Me All Your Love” i.e. people felt that it was cheap and inappropriate. Similarly, I agree completely. The musical guests, the first single, and the overall direction of her career seem to be going back 30 years ago. Madonna wasn’t producing this type of fluff, even 20 years ago. In the 90s, she was putting out more ballads and slow temp stuff than anything else (with the exception of Bedtime Stories, which of course, was not as great as everything else). So, it makes me wonder why suddenly Madonna thinks that reinvention equals poppy teen tunes. Clearly, someone is feeding her the wrong ideas. Reinvention for her now would be quality music with strong messages all served through the usual amazing videos. However, this is not happening. Madonna is headed for another Hard Candy. Clearly, she didn’t get the memo that Hard Candy was a flop. Some of us bought it out of loyalty but rarely listened to it. In fact, most people still care for Madonna love her older albums etc. In conclusion, I think all this chatter (interviews, award attendance, and ads) will produce nothing more than just that. Why? Well, the product is not there and as Madonna said it herself, “it all comes back to the music.”
You didn’t specify that most of Madonna’s ballads in mid ’90s were a marketing decision made to support a more gentle Madonna image and so dedate the Erotica craze.
That clarified, I will say that I do agree with your opinion on her late music directions but this time around I’m more than confident: she’s going to have us impressed!
I personally hate Hard Candy, also because it was the first time Madonna came out with a new face (and I WILL NEVER ACCEPT THAT) – but I learned to compromise with that and focus on her undeniable skills as a performer (her live shows are purely orgasmic)
