In a last minute plan change, the Girls Gone Wild lyric video will not premiere tonight at midnight PST anymore.
The lyric video will be edited on a remix version of the single which is still being polished at the moment and we can expect that version to go with the lyric video that is now scheduled to be released next week.

   Currently, San Diego’s Z93 is spinning “Give Me All Your Luvin’,” a song that has not gone down well with fans or the general public. Some have even called it Madonna’s worst song ever. That’s the bad news. The good news: Madonna’s upcoming single, “Girls Gone Wild,” will not only put her comeback back on track, but will make listeners forget about “Give Me All Your Lovin’.” It is an absolute club banger and will rank up with “Vogue” and “Ray of Light” as one of Madonna’s best dance tracks.

   The song begins with Madonna reciting some sort of prayer, before singing about being a good girl gone bad. There is no doubt that her misogynist critics will shout foul play against a 53-year-old woman singing about going wild. These are the same critics that probably praised Bruce Springsteen’s 2007 single “Girls in Their Summer Clothes,” even though Springsteen was four years older than Madonna when he released it.

   However, there is a deeper meaning to the song—it is sort of autobiographical. It’s about a good catholic girl who decides she doesn’t want to play by the rules anymore. Does that sound familiar?

   Madonna’s crisp vocals—very reminiscent of her 1993 hit “Deeper and Deeper,” get somewhat lost in the production at times. But it’s a production that is a definite winner. Those who thought Madonna lost her way after listening to “Give Me All Your Luvin’” will be pleased. “Girls Gone Wild” hasn’t officially been released yet, but you should start hearing it any day now.

       I loved that last thing you said about the Internet. I think a lot of fans have let others opinion determine their own opinion. Madonna is not the most loved woman on earth and especially by teenagers obsessed with some other gal. But there’s always been fan bases who hate on her. It’s just that now we are in touch with the hate unlike the Erotica years or whatever. When I heard the leaked version of GMAYL I just couldn’t stop smiling and dancing to it. I must admit it doesn’t have the best lyrics but damn it makes me happy! But I let the fact the it never gets played on the radio affect my feeling on the song, well fuck that. Madonna hasn’t lost her touch or essence, she is going in a much different direction and whether she places a number one hit again it just doesn’t matter. Sometimes I miss her old self but I’m happy that she found stability in her heart. I admire her as a human being who’s had an amazing journey. I feel she is very wise and I have the utmost respect for her. Tickets aren’t selling, it’s February. Movie trashed by critics, fuck them and let me make my own opinions.    why release ggw so early? I know gayl is not doing as well as expected, but maybe they you should give it time to become a dancefloor hit (as I am hoping it will). just release the remixes. maybe have maddy sing it live in a couple of tv shows. who cares if it is number 1 or number 40; what matters to me is that gmal is a fine single and I would like for it to have a longer life at the clubs, which is the place I actually listen to maddy’s songs (outside my ipod and computer, of course). for me gayl is not dead at all. I am a huge fan of the video. the song has grown on me in much deeper ways than comparable, “silly” love songs have not. beautiful stranger and burning up, for instance, obvious precursors of gayl; those songs are madonna classics that never got me excited the way gayl has. is it just me who hears all the fun and happy vibes of the song? I am really excited about the other songs madonna and solveig came up together.

   I love Madonnas Super Bowl Performance, Looking back on it its perfect, I bet she made so many new fans, I especially love 1:20-1:40, the way shes pulled in on the throne, the way she vogues on the chair, the way she decends onto the stage with the remix “Dont just stand there” comanding the viewers, then comanding her backup singers “Ladies”, can watch that over and over and I have! The rest of it is just flawless, GMAYL is so fun and upbeat and she looks so happy, Like a Prayer is just so inspirational and the way she leaves the stage just leaves you wanting more!      I was an idiot to say that this performance disappointed me. The lyp-synching irritated me and I think it would’ve been more exciting and a much stronger connection if she had sung live. But she wanted perfection, no technical problems, nothing to go wrong and she was flawless. She left me wanting more, that video of the father and kids made me feel part of the crowd and I cried from excitement. Like a prayer was magical. She is just amazing our true last legend. @Roadwork, I love your comments. Lately everyone’s turned so negative.

       Stunning showpiece. I agree about the lyp-synching part, she CAN sing live beautifully on occation. Donno about ‘perfect’ or ‘flawless’ though when you clearly see the misstep she made at 3:57, but that is not critique – I actually loved seeing that, it was cute and she’s human, not a machine. She pulled it off with grace! Thank god she didnt fall :p

       What I loved the most was her on-going smile and the fact that she was so jacked up on adrenaline that she looked like having nothing else but FUN throughout!

     I wish f-ing people would shut up about the damn lip-synching!!! EVERYONE mimes the super bowl. How do you perform a sound check live, when you have 8 minutes to put up a stage? The national anthem was prerecorded per the request of the president of the NFL. Whitney Houston’s famous rendition of the song was performed via LIP SYNCH! That doesn’t mean she can’t sing live. Go to the Madonna show where she sings live and never misses a beat.

     Also, the way she was pulled in looking like a goddess made me fall to my knees. That was MAJOR for me. I kind of see Madonna as a queen or goddess even and when she started to Vogue I died and came back alive…that’s how amazing it was for me.

      This song is a great production, if you think Madonna and Martin have their heads in the sand an were two dumb idiots that didnt put any thought into it than you have prespective problem…Madonna is one of the best pop writers in history, thats why it sounds effortless because Madonna can come up with these jingles in a heartbeat over and over again, If Rhianna or Katy Perry released it, it would be number one right now…

    Everybody knows that I am a HUGE Madonna fan, however, Interscope records is doing a shitty job on promoting the new single. Where the fuck are the physical CD singles, maxi singles and 12″ vinyls? Why aren’t there any posters promoting the new album? Why are they letting the new song go down in sales without any release of the above mentioned? We the Madonna fans like to collect her stuff, not fucking digital itunes files (I DID BUY MINE ALREADY TOO). I want to sit down with those assholes at Interscope records and tell them how we like it.

      Here in the UK the physical CD of GMAYL was being released on 5th march, which was late anyway. Now they pushed it back even further to the 19th March. This is just crazy, the album will be out the following week and ‘Girls gone Wild’ should already be out.

      Interscope really messing up. They did the same thing with Gaga’s Born This Way in the UK. Released singles on a friday instead of Monday, so they don’t get a full weeks sales.

    @ jama, the remix was was it was…a remix like every other remix. People don’t really listen to remixes….not madonna’s at least. However I do think the “revolver” remix was good and so was “what it feels like for a girl”
    All I know is that during summer 2009 all the clubs I went to ONLY played the cd version and that’s what people liked and danced to. And that’s why it was number one in the dance chart and not the remix. Had it come out with a more inspired video it would have been a mega hit. That’s always been how Madonna sell her music, with images. She’s known for that and need to get back to that place.
    Anyway back to the point I was making….not everything with an Errr….”epic” (which is the word for over produced, super fast and generic nowadays) is good. To me that’s what remixes generally do. I mean one usually doesn’t recognize the song anymore

    I can’t believe they didn’t capitalise on the success of, and and goodwill generated by, the Super Bowl. The momentum from that has gone.Tickets aren’t selling. GMAYL is leaving charts everywhere. They’re going to have to start all over again for the release of MDNA – if in fact they’re going to bother at this point.

    But you do have to ask yourself, how are they going to sell all those tickets now?

      US Football and the Super Bowl (including the Half time show) have no impact in Europe whatsoever and wouldn’t help to move the tour tickets. In Europe, I think the HT show is still associated with Janet Jackson’s boob.

      There’s nothing wrong with Madonna’s HT show, it’s actually brilliant, even GMAYL shines, but the Super Bowl will never work as a publicity engine in Europe or the Middle East.
      The results are in: the US shows are almost sold out. In EMEA, so far, only 2-3. They desperately need a solid album and a couple of undisputed smash hits to have a chance to get this off the ground.
      The era where Madonna could sell out stadiums based on her past achievements is gone.

      From Erotica onwards they cut her adrift. They weren’t very supportive of her post-Erotica, really. I can remember being really annoyed they didn’t manage to get both CD 2 of Secret out in that first week in the UK which would have changed everything (post-Sex/Erotica backlash) if they’d managed to have a strong lead for Bedtime Stories.

      If she hadn’t had Maverick as a joint-venture with them I think they’d have cut their losses a lot sooner. The end of that deal was a LONG time coming. I always put the dreadfulness of Hard Candy down to a parting shot from her, but… I’ll bite my tongue for now. Let’s listen to MDNA first.

        Isn’t it 5 March for GMAYL in Germany (and therefore possibly the rest of Europe)? But a little too late…

        Unless the plan is to keep GMAYL and GGW in the charts over a longer period rather than a short burst in Top 10 then disappearing.

        I think it would make sense for Interscopr or Oseary to simply say what they’re trying to do though because there isn’t a cross-over appeal and therefore we as the core audience become more necessary and we all seem a little peeved! Just speak to us..!

      They leaked GMAYL (unofficially), then released the snippets of GGW and TUTR to see what the reaction would be and if you read these boards it’s not been great except for the over-enthusiastic mutterings from the odd little over-excited Italian. So, I guess they are rejigging things – it would explain why we haven;t even had 30 second samples on iTunes.

    It is quite disappointing but I will never be tired of waiting coz I’ve had loads of Madonna music with me.

    I’ve just bought an original soundtrack of W.E. I can’t stop myself from listening especially her only song MASTERPIECE.

    While waiting for the new album, I’ve been listening to her ‘OLD’ but RELEVANT Albums this past weeks: American Life, Bedtime Stories, Erotica, Hard Candy, Ray of Light, etc. in rotation. Madonna never makes me feel bad. She always inspires me…whether with her new music or old ones. It doesn’t matter to me how her songs chart in the billboard tallies because MADONNA will always be NUMBER ONE.

    For sure, I will love her new album just as I’ve love her previous ones. So, if you’re a REAL MADONNA FAN…WHAT YOU GONNA DO?
