“Give me all your loving” is definitely Madonna’s biggest failure in many years, well, “Miles away” was too (although this was not a surprise because this song is so boring), but “Give me all your loving” is supposed to be her come back after 4 years being apart from music. Things are getting harder for MDNA now. Let’s hope “girls gone wild” can shine brighter or MDNA will fail too.

So much pre-judgments. I am glad Madonna skips them and does exactly what she wants, regardless of what anyone thinks. Charts alone don’t make or break an artist. There was and still is more to Madonna than her chart position. She is way above and beyond that. As a Madonna fan, I am not a sheep and make up my own mind when I hear any music from anybody including Madonna. I also realize that I can’t and shouldn’t dictate what Madonna should or shouldn’t do. I just listen to what I like from her and until now, all her albums have been very good to great regardless of their share of critics. And remember/believe me, all of them have had criticism of one sort or another.

Taking risks can take different turns. Taking risks doesn’t necessarily mean you have to create an entire new sound, nor does it mean that she has to work with unknown English producers to satisfy the English top 40 radio. England does come up with surprises every now and then. But Adele, Daffy and the rest of the recent flavor of the year English army of singers offer nothing new at all.
I often find American R&B music much more interesting because they do have the funky groove. To me, with Hard Candy Madonna went back home. There are wide variety of dance styles as well as musical styles. Miles Away has a freestyle swingy beat to it. While on vacation in Israel, I went to a disco and saw a lot of people dancing to it, singing along and enjoying it. Heartbeat= individual escapism and freedom on the dance floor. Madonna had a good sound and physical chemistry with her collaborators especially with Justine Timberlake. So what if the type of the music she did was already out there/ more theirs than hers? She gave her own touch to what was out there. I wish it was promoted in a different way though and played on the radio a little more often. But, so what? One cannot please everyone or the same crowd all the time. I am not going to name any of them, but I don’t go criticizing Madonna for having done some other songs which did not adhere to my personal taste. I look at the total picture, combination of quality, diversity, danceablity, reflexivity, the presentation and the message. To me, the song Candy Shop as well as her opening of her tour with it is one of her sexiest songs to this date.
I don’t dance to GMAL because I am more into other rhythms. But it is a coy finger snapping sing along song. And I don’t see any reason why Madonna shouldn’t do that. Why shouldn’t Madonna do simple fun songs? In the video Madonna looks far better and hotter than katty perry.
If you are a Madonna fan, let’s go on the ride with, let lose, learn and have fun. Learn to take the complex out of the simple and simple out of the complex.
agree in most but you say why she shouldnt and i say why should she do simple fun songs? i mean with her background, doing a simple silly fun song looks like shes bored and careless. most people see it this way even if its not true (i hope)..or she is trying to earn that kind of crowd: silly and simple according their music taste.does she really need that kind of new fans?

I think the song did pretty well considering that it was leaked and the demo version and the finished version are almost identical. It would’ve done better if it would’ve been a surprise from the get go.

One bad song doesn’t ruin a career, especially not Madonna’s and especially not if the song isn’t that bad, I mean it reached the Top 10 in many countries and even some No. 1s.
According to the reviews, Girls Gone Wild will mark M’s comeback, and hopefully it will silence all the hater assholes who are dumb enough to believe that they will harm the Queen’s legacy in any way.

Hahaha I have to confess that I thought the performance onf GAYL on charts were going to be worse. It’s not a song to be # 1 at all. I’m waiting for GGW, it is said that is the real madonna’s comeback! let’s support it when it is released!
