A League of Their Own Blu-Ray – First Review

A league of their own needs little introduction and is a classic based on the true story of the pioneering women who blazed the trail, both on the field and off, for generations of athletes to follow. It’s an effecting and delightful sports tale, which taught America “there’s no crying in baseball”. It makes its debut on Blu-ray Disc from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment in a solid offering that features faithful high definition video, complimentary lossless sound and a strong supplemental offering that is made up of previously released extras. If you’re a fan this is a must have plain and simple. Enjoy!

Madonnaphiles, without supporting cast film. Would bombed movie
industry feels. Madonna never obtain acting proficiencies. Tom Hanks attracted the audience. Upon, the present why didn’t. Women
support female professional sports. During 90’s in America many
women’s. Professional organizations with minor endorsements. They
didn’t last long wonder League of There Own inspire. Goals has nothing do with Madonna. Just women attend sports outings. America failed to support women. Exclusive teams still funny film. Ballard song well and classic. Use to be my playground 1992. Madonnaphiles you’ll say remark is vague. Upon acting roles Madonna judged. As “Glamor Queen” hard to discipline. Since Dick
Tracy 1990 successful music video’s. Prefer type cast yes Madonna!
Dumb Pretty roles secondary acting. Only Madonna can change this bye!

Thanks for the review. Madonna has always been a woman I’ve
admired both as a performer and for her attitude that uniqueness is part of her
character that will never change; obviously that confidence shines through in
her movies as well. One of my fond memories of this movie is the comedy, which
wouldn’t have worked if the chemistry of the cast hadn’t been right on. Having
seen the original made me question whether seeing the film again on Blu-ray was
necessary, but coworkers of mine from DISH who know my love for historical
movies have said the Blu-ray version is worth it. I remember Tom Hanks, another
one of my favorites, playing yesterday’s baseball star and thinking about the
two of them makes me want to buy the movie, but that always gets pricey. That’s
why I made the decision to start renting from Blockbuster @Home, it saves me a
lot of money, but I still get to watch movies like A League of Their Own
whenever I choose. When it arrives in a couple of days, I look forward to
watching the gals play ball and I know Madonna will steal the show.

One of her better film roles, A League of Their Own finds Madonna the Batter Shortstop of the Peaches as Mae-in her Cal Ripken role making all the heroic plays-clearly enjoying herself but also clearly missing her mother as evidenced in sad ballad-This Used to Be My Playground-maybe her best performances of her tenure at Rabbit/Warner and one of my Madonna favorites. Beautiful Ciccone ballad!
