Madonna – Rebel Heart Lyrics

I lived my life like a masochist
Hearing my father say: “Told you so, told you so”
“Why can´t you be like the other girls?”
I said: “Oh no, that’s not me and I don’t think that it’ll ever be”

Thought I belong to a different tribe, walking alone,
Never satisfied, satisfied
Tried to fit in but it wasn´t me,
I said: “Oh no, I want more, that´s not what I´m looking for”

So I took the road less travelled by
And I barely made it out alive
Through the darkness somehow I survived
Tough love, I knew it from the start
Deep down in the depth of my rebel heart, of my rebel heart

I spent some time as a narcissist
Hearing the other say: “Look at you, look at you”,
Trying to be so provocative
I said: “Oh yeah, that was me”
All the things I did just to be seen

Outgrown my past and
I´ve shed my skin
Letting it go and I´ll start again, start again
Never look back
It´s a waste of time, I said: “Oh yeah, this is me”
And I´m right here where I wanna be
I said: “Hell yeah! This is me”
Right where I´m supposed to be

So I took the road less travelled by
And I barely made it out alive
Through the darkness somehow I survived
Tough love, I knew it from the start
Deep down in my Rebel Heart

So I took the road less travelled by
And I barely made it out alive
Through the darkness somehow I survived
Tough love, I knew it from the start
Deep down in the depth
Of my Rebel heart
Of my Rebel heart
Of my Rebel Heart
Of my Rebel Heart…

Madonna – Wash All Over Me Lyrics

In a world that’s changing
I’m a stranger in a strange land
There’s a contradiction
And I’m stuck here in between

Life is a like a desert,
An oasis… too confusing
So I walk this razors edge
Will I stand or will I fall

Turned a blind eye
Tried to pretend that nothing is what it seems
Torn between the impulse to stay or running away with from this madness

Who am I to decide what should be done?
If this is the end then let it come

Let it come, let it rain
Let it rain, rain all over me
Like the tide, let it go
Let it wash all over me

Over me, let it wash all over me
Over me, let it wash all over me

All of my illusions
Could be shattered in a second
You could thread a needle
With a tear drop from my eye

It’s a cruel injustice
To be witness to the things i see
Looking for the answer
When it’s right in front of me

From the tower of Babylon
Where nothing is what it seems
Gonna watch the sun going down
I’m not gonna run from all this sadness

Who am I to decide what should be done?
If this is the end then let it come

Let it come, let it rain
Let it rain, rain all over me
Like the tide, let it go
Let it wash all over me

Over me, let it wash all over me
Over me, let it wash all over me

Malawi names Madona as goodwill ambassador for child welfare

Malawi President Peter Mutharika on Friday appointed an American pop singer Madonna as the country’s Goodwill Ambassador for Child Welfare. According to a brief statement from the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) available to APA, the president’s appointment is with immediate effect.

“It has pleased the president to appoint Madonna due to her passion for caring children in Malawi,” it said.

The appointment follows Madonna’s week-long visit to the Southern Africa country to continue her charity work especially caring for children.

While in the country, the singer has pledged to construct the state of the art Paediatric Surgery and Intensive Unit at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital.

Madonna meets Malawi’s President

President Peter Mutharika thanked the U.S. pop star on Friday for bringing her Malawi-born children Mercy and David back to their birth country.
Friday’s meeting was symbolic for Madonna, who had a public falling-out with former President Joyce Banda.
“Thank you for welcoming me here. I was a big fan of your brother. He was very kind to us,” Madonna said of Mutharika’s older brother Bingu wa Mutharika.
Madonna has been visiting Malawi since 2006. She funds a number of orphanages and schools in the country. On Thursday she helped open a new 50-bed pediatrics ward in the commercial capital, Blantyre, that she helped fund.

We can’t have any links here but here are the lyrics from the 43 seconds long clip:

“… of my rebel heart.

I’ve spent some time as a narcissist,
hearing the others say “Look at you! Look at you!”
Trying to be so provocative
I said “Oh yeah, that was me,
all the things I did, just to be seen.”

I’ve grown.
My past…”

Instagram: Madonna with Tay Grin, prof. Borgstien

“Tonight was absolutely amazing! So, my mum called me at 11am today asking what my plans were tonight. I said nothing really, maybe the gym later on. So she said “would you like to go for dinner with Madonna”. So from the picture u can work out what my response was. She is absolutely amazing, down to earth and extremely funny. Such a beautiful soul. It’s was indeed a great honor to have met her. Wow!”

Madonna returns to Malawi

Madonna has returned to Malawi for the first time since she had a public spat with the southern African country’s former president Joyce Banda over her charitable projects, as the new president extended an olive branch.
The pop star landed in the capital Lilongwe at around 11am on Wednesday, accompanied by David Banda and Mercy Chifundo, two children she adopted from the country, and her 14-year-old son Rocco along with an entourage that included advisers and bodyguards.
On Friday, Madonna is due to meet Malawi’s new president Peter Mutharika, who took over from Joyce Banda at the last elections.
