everytime i look at pictures of a neanderthal madonna i wonder if she really knew she was going to be an icon,a star of first magnetism or she was just being provocative saying she would conquer the world.

This may be my all time favorite Madonna
Desperately Seeking Susan is my all time favorite film, in every sense. The script, direction, the setting, the acting, everything about it is perfect. After so many years and so many viewing, I still would not want to see anything in it done differently.
And there was Madonna, the postmodern Mea West, better said street smart Goddess. God she looked so natural in that role. I dare to say that role was and still is Madonna. She may have matured but her get out of my way and drop-dead attitude has not changed a bit. A lot of girls put on the shades and the hat. But none have ever managed to look or have the aura of Madonna in that film, stepping out of that bus in NY or in that Taxi on the way to getting her jacket back, drying her armpit in the in the public restroom.
When it first came out, I saw this film 5 times in the theater. It has a special place in my DVD collections. Even as a guy, I feel empowered every time I watch it. This film is about living through the unexpected,, having no money and still looking great in those oddly combined clothes, making the best of what you got and what comes your way, in control of your destiny, optimism and much more.
This is one of postmodern cinema and postmodern rock and roll classics.
