Her fortune is around 600 million dollars, she has contributed to many causes around the world, by giving her own money; she has created an amazing documentary about HIV/AIDS in Malawi, she has built schools in Africa and last year she traveled to Brazil to create (along with the future president) a contribution plan to help poor childrens in that country. She’s a writer, a poet, a composer, a director, an film maker, an actress, a dancer, a model, a designer, an a full musician (she plays many instruments) and a humanitarian. Madonna is a roll model of life, she’s a real warrioress. I think, people feel connected with her for many reasons…

   To those who misunderstand and interpret things out of their context: I am not a racist and love many black artists and political figures for what they have achieved. But I must say that some of them have ego problem as well as a continuous feeling of inferiority. This combination has been destructive for them. The Civil rights history and the Holocaust are information for public domain. We all can learn from them as well as be affected by the pain that some people went through. I also don’t agree with those people who considered Reagan era as anti civil rights. If anything that era was about individual self empowerment.
   For all his talents MJ had that inferiority problem too. He was too afraid to take risks in his career and put up with some beating from critics every now and then. The nice thing about Madonna is that she is opinioned, often informed, is not afraid of expressing herself, can work with people regardless of their races, gender, nationality and religion. She is not boxed in. MJ was a prisoner of his own making.

       MJ couldn’t stand being around anyone who might in any way overshadow him or come close to his fame and success. That’s why he had a huge rivalry (in his own mind) with Prince and Madonna. They both competed with him and Madonna broke some of his records. MJ was also a misogynist so he couldn’t stand the idea that a woman was invading his “turf.” He would call her names whenever she would have success. He was obsessed with her in a way, but also afraid of her and her bluntness. He never let go of the idea of her.

       While Madonna said a thing or two about Michael, that is nothing compared to what Michael, Janet, LaToya, and the others said of her continuously for many years. They are the kinds of people who constantly hold on to things and can’t let go. Madonna long moved on from the “feud” even going on to defend MJ and say nice things about Janet.

   The Queen had a lot in common with the king. The only difference between them was that Madonna did not and will not allow herself to become the prisoner of one image. MJ was too sensitive to media and rumors. Madonna manages those things much better.
   When I was growing up, there was One MJ and there was one Madonna. Black and White, cross generational musical crossovers, the shy good boy and the proud and unashamed bad girl. Great all-around performers.

   I think MJ was a secret Madonna fan who at times felt or at least due to the competitiveness in the music field felt upstaged by Madonna. Regardless of those presumptions, they became mega stars king and queen around the same time. Madonna was way more versatile though. MJ’s best time was Billie Jean. Madonna’s high points are way more and there are many more to come.
   Madonna’s tribute to the king was very fitting and gracious.

      Michael Jackson was an original and very talented, but after the mid 1990s only die-hard fans were interested in him. He never re-invented his style/music, and never had the energy to put on a show like Maddy did. Madonna is very original. If you don’t think so it is because you haven’t been paying attention to how she recombines all kinds of art and musical styles to create unique music and stage shows. But then, again, whatever I say won’t matter because “Ed” and “M is done” are A-holes who have too much time in their hands; why would they comment on a Madonna website if they really disliked Madonna?

    Love the face (perfect) and it’s not new!Still looking fucking hot. The boots are great but wrong choice of clothes…Her speech was eloquent and honest!
    In Europe she was highly praised but the whole MJ thing was uncomprehensible for me.

    When so many were dissing Madonna for being self-referential during this eulogy I was like–have YOU ever written a eulogy and delivered it in front of a crowd? It’s not easy. You write about your experience of that person. And the parallels in their lives were there–so suck it, idiots!
