   I saw Madonna´s girlie tour at Bercy (a nice medium size venue) in Paris in September 1993. The place was packed, hot and people went through the roof when she appeared on stage doing Erotica followed by Fever. I stood in the front raw by the catwalk and can tell you that you could not pinch an inch from that body of hers. With her short ultra platinum blond hair, flawless white skin wrapped in black hot pants, she looked like a tigress. I will never forget it; because that was the closest I ever came to a goddess/ true legend. Despite the backlash against her for taking things few steps too far with her sex book and Erotica album, nobody could escape her madgical power. Nowadays the bodyguard soundtrack, especially whitney’s I’ll always love you sound so dated and boring. But Erotica is considered to be a groundbreaking masterpiece of an album.
   Despite all of Whitney’s upstart stardom, connections, aunts and uncles in the music industry, despite all her Grammies and overratedness, Whitney never made it completely through one tour. whitney’s voice never held up live. She was quickly burned out after the first few numbers. Show wise, Whitney was never even relevant. If you don’t believe me, just watch withney’s videos such as ‘I waana dance with somebody’ and compare it to Madonna’s videos. Madonna has stood the test of time. Madonna’s works are still fresh like the very first time. Whitney on the other hand has to leave a large gap between her album releases in order to sell half decently.

   Madonna looks sweet, sticky & sweet. this is another great look she developed when she mixed the formal lace top with the addidas sports pants & athletic boots. and the hair adds to the juxtaposition, making it another signature look for Madonna!

   The one place where Madonna’s sense of style always fails her is her hair. That hairstyle in these pics is ridiculous. She looks like an 80-year-old librarian. It’s a pity, too, because she’s so gorgeous but her hair is almost always wrong.

    I’d totally love to find a good video of the promo “Give It to Me” dancing–especially chorus / synth break / get stupid and after. So many of the YouTube ones have lousy editing and you can’t see all the fancy foot work. If you got any links, RSVP!
