  this is a landmark, but maddy has many others. her voice was in top form here, but I have seen her in concert several times, and I will never forget how sexy, energetic and original the girlie show was, or how I cried when she sang mother and father during the re-invention, or you must love me in the sticky and sweet, or how I couldn’t stop jumping during like a prayer, vogue, music, and la isla bonita, also at the S&S. She is just an amazing performer!!!

It took Madonna around 10 years to make a collection of great performances. It took Gaga only 2 years. Gaga is the Empress of POP.

  Gaga is good, but if you really analyze the impact that each one did, in 2 years gaga hasn’t really accomplished what Madonna would do in one day back in the 80s and 90s. Madonna really went against the current as a feminist pop singer, and was much more of a rebel, as a mainstream artist, than most of the indie/rock artists around her time. Madonna is a true genius and she had a complex, political message to deliver, which went way beyond sexual liberation. Maybe Gaga is a genius too, but she hasn’t really proved it yet. Simply regurgitating what Madonna and Bjork have done doesn’t make Gaga a genius.
