Madge's hubby is a knife Guy

from The Sun :

Guy Ritchie has bought Madonna a £10,000, blinged-up, ice pick-style dagger designed by Jade Jagger.

The film director splashed out on the gift to mark the launch of Madge's new album Hard Candy - out next Monday - and celebrate her No1 single 4 Minutes.

He's a brave man, Guy, giving his fiery missus a weapon.

A source said: "Madge already has a limited-edition Jade Jagger dagger. Guy thought it would go with the other one - which cost £100,000 and is a one-off."

The couple will both be at the Cannes Film Festival next month, Madonna for the screening of her documentary about orphans in Malawi and to go to Aids charity Amfar's party/benefit.

Guy will be showing his latest gangster flick RocknRolla.

Rumour : Madonna £12m for two gigs

Madonna is to sign the most lucrative contracts of her career - playing two gigs in Dubai for £12.5 million.

It's the kind of money that makes David Beckham look like a YTS boy at LA Galaxy.

The Queen Of Pop is finalizing negotiations on a deal to finish her forthcoming world tour in the oil-rich Arab state in November.

By my calculations, if one of the gigs - for which she will get £7.5million - runs to 90 minutes she will pocket a staggering £83,333 a minute.

That's a pretty impressive pay day by any standards.

And if that wasn't enough, she is also in talks to perform at a private party for a mystery punter while she is out there which will earn her another £5million.

My Madge man told me: "Madonna is about to break another record by playing the most lucrative concert of her whole career - or anyone's career for that matter.

"The negotiations for the tour to stop in Dubai in November are being finalised and she will get £7.5million for the one show only. The figure is so big because of her new contract with Live Nation and the huge funds available from private promoters in Dubai."

Madge signed to the company for £60 million last autumn.

My source added: "She is also close to agreeing to play at a private party in Dubai, the first in her career."

If Madge sticks to her confession in a recent interview, she won't be settling for a bottle of champers and a bunch of flowers in her dressing room as payment.

She said she wouldn't perform at a private bash for less than £5million. All in all it looks like Madge is on a nice little earner.

The deal will have top music figures queuing up for a piece of the action. How long before SIR ELTON JOHN is doing a residency?

Madge's new bosses at Live Nation are keen for this not to be a one-off and are already in the process of brokering similar deals with other massive bands.

Millions of Pounds on offer for just one gig - shouldn't be too hard to get them signed up.

Forget Glasto mud, let's all go to Dubai for music in guaranteed sunshine.

Gossip : Madonna bags Kylie tour pair

Kylie Minogue is in a spin after Madonna poached her choreographers on the eve of the Aussie's big comeback tour.

That's like Man U boss sir Alex Ferguson nicking Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's head coach just before the Premier League season kicks off.

Madonna snapped up the Talauega Brothers - Richmond and Tone - despite the pair agreeing to work with the Pop Pincess on her KYLIEX2008 dates, which start on May 6. And the move shows an announcement of Madonna's tour dates is just around the corner.

A source revealed: "Rich and Tone are hot property. "They had agreed to do Kylie's tour but then Madonna came calling. You don't turn down the Queen Of Pop - even if you've made an arrangement with the Princess."

The move sent Kylie's team into a panic.

Michael Rooney - who worked on the Spice Girls' comeback tour - was due to share the choreography duties with the dance duo but now takes sole responsibility.

Madge swooped when she began to finalize her tour plans to follow the April 28 release of album Hard Candy.

My source revealed: "Rich and Tone worked with Madonna on her world tour in 2006.

"By the time she realised she wanted them again they had agreed to go with Kylie. But Madge won."

The pair were discovered freestyling at a club in California. They have also worked with Diana Ross, Pink, Jennifer Lopez, Black Eyed Peas, Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani.

Now they're living every man's dream - being caught in a tug of love between Kylie and Madge.

Madonna gives up adoption 2

Madonna has dramatically scrapped her two-year bid to adopt a Malawian girl.
Instead she will support the orphan financially from Britain.
The 49-year-old singer told aides she has been left "exhausted" by a mountain of red tape.
Her adoption of Malawian son David Banda, two, was finalised this month. Pals were sure she would be bringing home Mercy, also two, as a sister for him.
But Madonna - who has two other children and is wed to Brit film director Guy Ritchie - feared another two years of legal wrangling.
A family friend said: "Madonna wanted to adopt a boy and a girl.
"But Mercy's relatives objected and she had a complete turnaround.
"Everyone was stunned. Normally nothing will stop her.
"She now believes David will be the last child she adopts. Instead she will support orphans through her charity."

Rumour : Madonna wants to remake Casablanca

Pop superstar Madonna wants to remake Casablanca -- and plans to set it in war-torn Iraq, it has been claimed.

The singer, whose previous film career was widely panned by the critics, is reportedly planning to take the lead role of Ilsa Lund, which originally made a star of Ingrid Bergman.

A source at a major Hollywood studio that was recently approached by the 49-year-old star said: "She is still determined to make it in the movies.

"She and her representatives have been touting around a project which is a remake of Casablanca. The reception has been lukewarm to say the least. No one can understand why she wants to redo what many people consider the greatest film of all time."

In the 1942 original, Bergman starred opposite Humphrey Bogart, who played Rick Blaine, a cynical bar owner in the Moroccan city of Casablanca in the early days of the Second World War. Ilsa is torn between love for her husband, a Czech Resistance leader, and her ex-lover Rick.

Madonna is said to believe the film will make her reputation as an actress, after a string of high-profile flops such as Shanghai Surprise, Body Of Evidence and Swept Away, her much-derided 2002 collaboration with husband Guy Ritchie.

The source added to Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "Madonna is talking about taking the Ingrid Bergman role for herself, even though Bergman was in her 20s when she played Ilsa and Madonna is nearly 50.

"She wants to update the story and maybe set it in a modern war zone such as Iraq. There is no script yet.

"Madonna and her people are testing the waters to see if this is the right vehicle for her and if a major studio will get behind the project."

Bollywood filmmaker Rajeev Nath is also said to be working on a remake set in India, calling it "a tribute to the original".

A spokeswoman for Madonna refused to comment.

A source tells me the duo's debut collaboration, "4 Minutes to Save the World," will be featured in the upcoming movie adaptation of Get Smart.

Madonna buys London pub

Pop superstar Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie have bought their own London pub, it has been revealed.

The pair - Madonna, 49, and Guy, 39, snapped up 'The Punchbowl' pub in central London's exclusive Mayfair - and it's the second oldest pub in the area.

The pub - which was built in the 1750s - and has previously been owned by notorious London gangster Freddie Foreman - boasts big-named patrons like Barbra Streisland, Robert De Niro and Al Pacino.

A source said: "The sale of the pub went through and the previous owners were offered a huge sum of money for the freehold.

"It has everything Madge and Guy want -- A-lister regulars and a tough edge with the Foreman connection."

Madonna - "unemployed mom"

Madonna joked with fellow jurors that she was an "unemployed mom" when she turned up for jury duty in Los Angeles.

The Material Girl star was called for service on Monday. She turned up wearing a tracksuit at the Beverly Hills Courthouse in California hiding behind dark glasses - and complained that she was exhausted before winning over other people who had been called to do their duty.

A source said: "She was laughing with jurors and said she hated the movie 'Enchanted.'

" When the court started calling out jurors' names, Madonna got up to stand in the unemployed line and joked, 'I'm gonna tell them I'm an unemployed mom.' "

She also complained that she was sleep deprived - after hosting a post-Oscar party in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The source told a US newspaper: "She complained that she got only three hours of sleep because of her Oscar party, and then asked another juror if she could lie down on the bench."

IN the end, Madonna wasn't called to perform jury duty.

Madonna causes chaos in Germany

Madonna has caused chaos in Berlin after a fight broke out between journalists and photographers desperate to gain access to a screening of her directorial debut 'Filth and Wisdom'.
The pop superstar arrived in the German capital on Wednesday (13 Feb 08) to unveil her new movie at the Berlin Film Festival but demand for the press preview was much higher than expected.
And scuffles soon erupted as over 500 people attempted to squeeze into the 350-seater cinema, forcing officials to intervene.
The film, about a Ukrainian immigrant in London, is the first behind-the-scenes role for the singer who went on to received lukewarm reviews from critics for her movie-making turn.

Gossip : Madonna to renew wedding vows with Guy Ritchie

Pop superstar Madonna is set to renew her wedding vows with husband Guy Ritchie.

The pair are reportedly planning a sumer ceremony to help quash rumors that their seven-year marriage is on the rocks.

Only close family a small selection of celebrity pals including Gwyneth Paltrow and Stella McCartney will be invited to the private service at the couple's Wiltshire home.

Sources say that fashion designer Stella has designed the 'Like A Virgin' star's wedding outfit - which will be a cream trouser suit.

Paltrow will do a reading, as will Madonna's 11-year-old daughter Lourdes.

Madonna - who celebrates her 50th birthday later this year, and 'Snatch' director Guy Ritchie, 39, have bought each other eternity rings but are trying to keep their plans under wraps.

A source revealed: "Renewing their vows is the one way Guy and Madonna can show the world they are strong.

"They've worked hard to iron out their differences to get through the tough times.

"It's going to be a very emotional day and that's why they want the people who are closest to them to share it with them."

The pair got married in 2000 - but have constantly been dogged by rumors of marital woes.

The source added to Britain's News of The World newspaper: "They know a strong marriage takes constant effort and that they're in it for the long haul."

"4 Minutes To Save The World" Video Rumours from Mirror

She may be pushing the big 5-0, but we always knew Madonna would never grow old gracefully.

The Queen of Pop's latest transformation will see her don a dominatrix-style latex catsuit in a raunchier-than-ever video for new single 4 Minutes To Save The World.

We can reveal that in the promo Madge plays - wait for it - a pimp who rescues the planet in an impressive 240 seconds.

And it gets better...

Justin Timberlake and US producer Timbaland play her bitches.

Nope, we're not sure quite what the f'hell it's all about either.

No doubt her three children will be particularly thrilled to see their mum whipping the two Timbs into shape - and belting out lyrics like: "Come on boy, I'd like to show my addictive control", and "You're mine. Just give it up, can't get control."

The video has been shot over three days in a top-secret location in West London, and included a gruelling all-night shoot yesterday.

In the sexually charged video, Madge cracks the whip and gets her slaves, Justin and Timbaland, to do whatever she wants as she towers over their quivering bodies in killer heels.

Careful there Madge, you don't want to do yourself an injury.

The 49-year-old has brought in her fashion-god pals Dolce & Gabbana to create the no-holds-barred outfits.

She's also roped in the winning team behind her Confessions Live sell-out tour in 2006 - including Grammy award-winning Swedish director Jonas Akerlund.

We're told: "One of the highlights in the video is the nightclub scene.

"Timbaland eyes Madge up in the darkened room, and they disappear off to get close.

"The camera cuts to Madonna challenging JT to a dance-off and it is just magnificent.

"They get up close and personal in the battle of the gyrating hips, with sweat dripping all over their bodies."

Guy Ritchie's gonna love it. We think not.

Madonna has been paid $10 million for Sunsilk commercial ?

One ticket to the Super Bowl: $2,000. Thirty seconds of advertising during the Super Bowl: $2.7 million. Five seconds' worth of Madonna in a Super Bowl ad: A heck of a lot more than that.

Sources tell E! Online that the Material Girl was paid $10 million to appear in a new advertising campaign for Sunsilk hair-care products, including a commercial that will premiere during the the fourth quarter of Sunday's game between the New England Patriots and New York Giants (most of whom do not make $10 million in an entire season).

In the 30-second spot, old stock footage of Madonna, Shakira and Marilyn Monroe is woven together in a Warholian, pop art-inspired montage touting Sunsilk's new "Life Can't Wait" global campaign.

"Make your hair happen," the ad urges, to the closing strains of Madonna's "Ray of Light."

Shakira did herself a nice--although not as nice--turn, as well, collecting $2.5 million from Unilever, which opted to use its only Super Bowl buy to spotlight the Sunsilk brand. (For those who don't want to wait for the two-minute warning, the commercial can be previewed at lifecan'twait.com.)

Madonna's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, had no comment on her client's reported payday.

"I have not seen the commercial nor do I have any information on the financial part of the deal," she told E! News.

Even if she did the work gratis, however, Madonna would still be the richest gal in the business. The Confessions on a Dance Floor artist banked $72 million between June 2006 and June 2007, according to Forbes.com's new list of the top 20 "Cash Queens of Music."

Justin Timberlake, Timbaland to appear in new Madonna video

Justin Timberlake and Timbaland are off to London to appear in Madonna's new video for the song "4 Minutes to Save the World." The two cowrote and coproduced the track, which is the first single off her forthcoming album (the last full LP she'll release for Warner Bros.), due out this April. Queen M also recently shot the cover art for the album (believed to be titled Give It To Me) with renowned fashion photographer and frequent collaborator Steven Klein. As fans clamor for a glimpse at the superstar's latest reinvention, details are starting to emerge about her new look and sound. Madonna's stylist, B. (yes, she just goes by the initial), told Women's Wear Daily at Chanel's couture show on Tuesday that "Madonna's look is going to be more edgy, more fresh -- no more disco." And Warner Bros. staffers who heard the record at a listening session last month describe it as "very now." Says an insider: "For the first time, [Madonna's] not chasing the next new sound. She's embracing what's happening today."

Madonna splashes £6m on the gym

Perhaps someone should tell Madonna that walking counts as exercise, too.

The singer - famous for her punishing daily workouts - has to stroll just 20 yards from her front door to her own personal gym.

She has bought the £6 million house next to her main London home and converted it into a fitness centre.

It is thought she intended to knock the two properties together to avoid being seen in her less-than-glamorous gym gear.

But she has not obtained planning permission, meaning she is forced to come out of her house and walk 20 yards down the public street every day.

Her exercise routine is so regular that crowds have started to gather on the quiet road, waiting for her inevitable appearance.

When the 49-year-old superstar emerges, she often cuts a very homely figure in sensible trainers and lycra outfits.

Yesterday, her knee-length jogging bottoms revealed two exceptionally pale shins, one of which appeared to have a mysterious groove running down it.

The singer also showed that a star is never off-duty by carrying a mobile phone with her to her workout.

Madonna might be hoping to recoup some of the £6 million outlay on the converted house by saving a fortune in parking tickets.

She used to make her chauffeur wait on yellow lines outside the St John's Wood studio of her personal trainer James D'Silva twice a week while she did yoga inside.

Sadly, the local traffic wardens soon cottoned-on and the singer was hit with £2,500 in parking fines just over six months.

Her chauffeur at first tried to plead his case with officials but soon resorted to moving the vehicle backwards and forwards constantly to avoid the fines.

After a while, Madonna - who is worth an estimated £235million - clearly decided enough was enough and stumped up the cash for the ten-bedroom Georgian house.

She and husband Guy Ritchie already own five other properties around central London, as well as homes in Wiltshire, New York and Los Angeles.

It is understood that Madonna and the 39-year-old director fought off competition from Ab Fab actress Jennifer Saunders and celebrity photographer Mario Testino to get hold of the property last June.

Madonna spends $10K on Kabbalah water

Madonna spends $10,000 a month on specially blessed Kabbalah water.

She reportedly cannot get enough of the $5-a-bottle beverage, and makes sure she always has a regular supply to hand.

A close source told In Touch Weekly magazine, "Madonna drinks a lot of water - that's one of her fitness secrets. And Kabbalah water is the only stuff she will touch.

"She also makes sure she always has some to hand, and has it regularly shipped to wherever in the world she is staying at the time."

A description of the blessed water on kabbalahwater.com reads, "The Kabbalistic blessings and meditations that are used to create Kabbalah Water bring about elegant and balanced crystalline structures in water, while negative consciousness has an opposite effect.

"This is hugely important. In a very literal way, Kabbalah Water is life's original blueprint information brought into the modern world."

Some leaders from the Kabbalah Centre are said to have claimed the water has the power to cure diseases including cancer and AIDS.

Madonna has been a devout follower of Kabbalah, a mystical off-shoot of Judaism, since the late '90s.

In 2006, it was revealed the 49-year-old singer - who has a son, Rocco, 7, and adopted son, David, 2, with husband Guy Ritchie, and daughter Lourdes, 11, from a previous relationship, had spent $2.4 million promoting the faith around the world in the previous four years.

Madonna's DRM free MP3s on Amazon soon

Today, Warner Music Group began selling music on Amazon in the MP3 format without the digital rights management that hampers many of the files sold in iTunes and other online music stores.

Listening Post confirmed with spokespeople for both Amazon and Universal Music Group that the deal includes all of the label's digitized music catalog -- "hundreds of thousands of tracks," according to WMG. Amazon's store now contains over 2.9 million tracks, all in the unprotected MP3 format, and including music from three of the world's four major labels. (EMI began offering its digital catalog to Amazon in May, and Universal has experimented with MP3s on Amazon since August.)

The WMG spokesperson also confirmed that the label did not include watermarks in the MP3 files the way Universal Music Group did. (UMG included anonymous watermarks on the MP3s it delivered to Amazon, used to track purchased MP3s online.)

"We believe that giving consumers the assurance that the music they purchase can be played on any device they own will only encourage more sales of music," said Michael Nash, SVP of digital strategy and business development for Warner Music Group.

This is good news for music fans who have been reluctant to buy music that only plays on certain devices, but it may not be good news for Apple. Despite Steve Jobs' February plea to the labels that they stop insisting on DRM, Apple has likely benefited to some degree from iTunes' unique ability to offer music from the most popular labels (the majors) that plays on the most popular MP3 players (iPods).

Jobs refused to license Fair Play to competing third-party music stores, writing, "Apple has concluded that if it licenses FairPlay to others, it can no longer guarantee to protect the music it licenses from the big four music companies."

An industry-wide abandonment of DRM would allow other music download retailers to compete, but Apple's music business could expand nonetheless. As DRM goes away, the digital music market could grow so much that Apple's slice would get bigger, even if its share diminishes.

With only 5 days to go, 2007 became the year that 3 of the 4 major labels started selling music in the MP3 format. Sony/BMG is the only remaining holdout.

Madge aims to take on Elvis

Madonna has hatched a plan to beat Elvis Presley's record of the most UK No1 hits.

The Material Girl aims to re-release all her huge singles as downloads this year to celebrate her 50th birthday.

That will annoy her soon to be ex-label Warner, who want to make the most of her back catalogue before she leaves them. Next year is going to be a Madgefest, with a massive gig in New York to mark the milestone.

She's entering the wrinkly rocker stage of her career - at least she would be if not for her beautician - and you have to salute her.

But I'd salute her even more if she bowed out at the top.

Madonna sues to get more space

Madonna is burning up - and she's suing - because her ritzy upper West Side co-op allegedly won't let her expand her material world into a neighboring apartment.

The Material Girl has filed a summons in Manhattan Supreme Court against the board and management company at her Central Park West pad, a luxury building where she already owns a 6,000- square-foot duplex with its own gym and beauty salon.

The two-page summons accuses the co-op board and Midboro Management of breach of contract for allegedly holding up the sale of Julie Clark Thayer's seventh-floor apartment and orders the transfer of 868 co-op shares to the singer.

Thayer declined to comment.

Madonna moved into the building overlooking Central Park after she was rejected by the board at the San Remo in 1985.

Madonna Names New Album 'Licorice'

Madonna has christened her final Warner Bros. studio album "Licorice," and will release the set in late April. The news was broken today (Dec. 6) on former Billboard editor Larry Flick's Sirius Satellite Radio show "OutQ."

On the broadcast, Flick also aired two songs from the album, "Candy Shop" and "The Beat Goes On." Both cuts leaked online earlier this year.

Unconfirmed reports from the fan site DrownedMadonna.com say Madonna previewed the album in recent days for Warner Bros. staff members in New York. Kanye West is said to guest on "The Beat Goes On," while an older unreleased tune, "The Devil Wouldn't Recognize You," appears in a new version.

As previously reported, following "Licorice" and a greatest hits collection, Madonna will record for Artist Nation, a new initiative launched by concert promoter Live Nation.

The 10-year deal encompasses all of Madonna's future music and music-related businesses, including the exploitation of the Madonna brand, new studio albums, touring, merchandising, fan clubs/Web sites, DVDs, music-related television and film projects and associated sponsorship agreements.

Madonna's new song 'so hot'

Madonna's new song with Pharrell Williams is so 'hot' it will 'make the music speakers bleed'.
The 'Hung Up' singer has been in the studio with hit producer Pharrell creating tracks for her upcoming album, and he claims their collaboration will take the music industry by storm.
Speaking at the launch of his new shop Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream in New York on Wednesday, Pharrell said:
'It was crazy. I don't want to say too much. I'd rather wait for you to hear it. It's awesome though. It makes the speakers bleed. It's hot!'
Earlier this month, it was reported Pharrell had been recording with the 49-year-old singer at Record Plant Studios in Los Angeles.
The pair reportedly bumped into Kanye West, who was working with Michael Jackson in a studio next-door, inspiring the hip-hop star to rap on one of Madonna's new songs.
Last month, Madonna signed a $120 million, 10-year record deal with Live Nation Inc. and plans to release her first studio album with the label early next year.
Also set to feature on the hotly-anticipated LP are star producer Timbaland and 'SexyBack' singer Justin Timberlake.

Madonna leaving Warner Music ?

Pop star Madonna is close to leaving her long-time Warner Bros. Records label for a wide-ranging $120 million (58.8 million pounds) deal with concert promotion firm Live Nation Inc., the Wall Street Journal reported on its Web site on Wednesday.

The pact would give Madonna a mix of cash and stock in exchange for the rights to sell three studio albums, promote concert tours, sell merchandise and license her name, the paper said.

Madonna, 49, has recorded for the Warner Music Group Corp.-owned label her entire career, stretching back to her 1983 self-titled debut album.

A Live Nation spokesman declined comment. Publicists for both Warner Music and Madonna did not immediately reply to requests for comment.

'Perfect' Madge buys sex toy

Smirking Madonna heads home with a sex toy - after being called "as perfect as Mary Poppins".

The Queen of Pop, 49, carried the £30 "Purple Penetrator" in a plastic bag as she left a posh London hotel with Brit husband Guy Ritchie, 39.

Days earlier, Malawian officials had given the star a grilling at her £5.7million Marble Arch pad while she sought to seal the adoption of son David Banda, two.

And an initial report said she was "as perfect as Mary Poppins" as a mum.

A pal said yesterday: "It is the final legal hurdle in adopting David and they are so relieved it went well. No wonder they look so happy and have been buying sex toys."

Madonna and Guy collected David from poverty-stricken Malawi last year.

The final adoption report will not be out until February but officers have privately confirmed they have passed.

The couple - who have a daughter Lourdes, ten, and son Rocco, seven - are now trying to adopt a Malawian baby girl called Mercy.

Is Justin Madonna's New MTV Boy-Toy?

from E!Online :

Justin Timberlake and Madonna!

Are the two really teaming up to perform together at MTV's Video Music Awards next month in Las Vegas?

An MTV rep just told me, "It's a fantastic rumor." Reps for Timberlake and Madonna did not comment.

Here's what I'm hearing: There are no concrete plansyet.

Producers, a source tells me, have spoken to J.T. about it. And the idea has been presented to Madonna. "She is interested," my source reports.

Madge should be interested. There's no one better at transforming herself into what people want right now than the original Material Girl. A hookup with the 26-year-old Timberlake could mean only one thing: more fans!

Four years ago, Madonna made international headlines by kissing Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera onstage at the VMAs.

The Beat Goes On - new song lyrics

The Beat Goes On
by Madonna and Pharrell

Here comes the sun
(here comes the sun)
I'm tired of coming undone
(oh, coming undone)
There's been so much darkness
Too much of the time
I think its a sign
(must be a sign)

Here comes the rain
(Here comes the rain)
Wash away all the pain
(wash away the pain)
Coming together, going apart
I want you to stay
(Hope you wanna stay)

Always the bride's maid, never the bride
Two steps behind, you've got too much pride
Always supporting, never the star
Get it together, cause the beat goes on

On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes

Here comes my hand...
(here comes your hand)
Take it while you can...
(take it while you can)
Ill throw you some rope
if it will give you hope
want you to understand....
(understand)

Here comes your smile
(here comes your smile)
Hope it stays for awhile
(stays for awhile)
You know its contagious
It might sound outrageous
But I feel so alive...
(feel so alive)

Always the bride's maid, never the bride
Two steps behind, you've got too much pride
Always supporting, never the star
Get it together, cause the beat goes on

On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes

I can't keep waiting for you
I can't keep waiting [take it down]
Anticipating with you
You keep me Waiting [take it up]
I can't keep waiting for you
I can't keep waiting [take it down]
Anticipating with you
You keep me Waiting

Always the bride's maid, never the bride
Two steps behind, you've got too much pride
Always supporting, never the star
Get it together, cause the beat goes on

On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes [take it down]
On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes [take it up]
On and on the beat goes
On and on the beat goes [take it down]
On and on the beat goes

INSTRUMENTATION

I can't keep waiting for you
I can't keep waiting [take it down]
Anticipating with you
You keep me Waiting [take it up]
I can't keep waiting for you
I can't keep waiting [take it down]
Anticipating with you

Cause see the beat goes on"¦"¦"¦.

Gossip : Madge jab shocks air passengers

Madonna shocked passengers on a recent transatlantic flight after witnesses claim she whipped out a needle and started injecting herself with vitamins.

Her startling energy boost came after sources say the queen of pop endured the seven hour journey without eating any food and drinking only bottled water.

A passenger on the flight said: 'Just before landing she brought out the phials of vitamins and injected herself.'

'Seven hours is a long time to go without eating. She was also very quiet and only spoke to the air staff to ask for water.' The claims come on the eve of the super-fit mum's 49th birthday, which she will celebrate later this week.

Recently she has surprised fans in a string of paparazzi shots that show her arms looking extra muscular and veiny.

A spokeswoman for the songstress said she 'would not comment' on whether the star uses vitamin jabs.

Other celebrities who are rumoured to use the energy boosting shots include rehabbers Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears.

Anna Denny, nutrition scientist at the British Nutrition Foundation said: 'They can be useful for the elderly and the very young, but generally they're unnecessary.

'We wouldn't recommend taking them without consulting a GP first.'

Rumour : Big show for Madge's five-oh

Madonna is in secret talks to play a gig at New York's Central Park on her 50th birthday.

The Queen Of Pop will tour the US next year to promote her next album.

And she has been racking her brains to come up with something unique and special to mark her big day. Madonna turns 50 on August 16 next year and though not thrilled about reaching the milestone she knows she won't be able to ignore it.

My impeccably placed source said: "One of the ideas she loves is to do Central Park on her birthday.

"She came up with it and has been discussing it as a serious possibility.

"She doesn't like getting older but she knows there's no way she can pretend her birthday isn't happening.

"She is planning to kick off a world tour next June in America to promote her new album. Playing at Central Park would be the highlight.

"She sees it as a huge televised event."

Simon & Garfunkel famously performed for free to more than 500,000 people in Central Park back in September 1981.

Madonna has a huge connection with the city. She moved there in her rebellious teens, it's her spiritual home and she performed a song called I Love New York on her last album,

Madge has been in the studio with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake recording the follow-up to global smash Confessions On A Dancefloor.

They have been writing and recording in London and Madonna plans to go back to New York in September to put the finishing touches to it. She'll then take a few weeks off to be with hubby Guy Ritchie and children Lourdes, Rocco and adopted son David.

The album is scheduled for global release in November.

Madge is also set to put out a 25th anniversary box set next year to celebrate her years in the music business.

Better start saving up now for those tickets one thing's for sure, they won't come cheap.

Madonna's Rep Blasts Latest Scandalous Adoption Story: "Not Accurate!"

Madonna's rep exclusively tells 24Sizzler.com that a report from Reuters, via the Malawi News, in which Malawi's Child Welfare Services director Penstone Kilembe says that the country's minister for Women and Child Development has barred him from visiting Madonna's adopted son David Banda in the U.K., is not true.

"The information regarding the adoption that was reported on Reuters is simply not accurate," Madonna's rep Liz Rosenberg tells 24Sizzler.com. "The adoption process is going along very well and according to proper procedure."

Gossip : Sex file returns to haunt Madonna

Madonna's lawyers are fighting to stop a collection of love letters and intimate photographs being made public at the same time as she tries to make her adoption of a Malawian baby permanent.

The 17 notes and seven Polaroid snaps she sent in the early 1990s to then boyfriend James Albright were recently sold to an investment company specialising in Madonna memorabilia.

The firm is now touting them around to the highest bidder and hoping to make more than £100,000.

Some of the pictures, which the singer took of herself, show her naked in explicit poses.

The collection also includes personal items such as underwear which Madonna apparently sent to Albright during their two-year relationship.

Although she repeatedly posed nude at the time for her controversial coffee-table book, Sex, she is understood to be devastated about the arrival of such items on the market - particularly at such a sensitive time.

The head of Malawi's child welfare service is about to spend a week with Madonna and her family in London to assess whether they are fit to adopt baby David Banda permanently.

Rumour : Madonna eyes $100M Live Nation Mega-Deal

Madonna is pondering hanging up on Warner Music Group in favor of life without a traditional record contract.

With the Material Girl's existing pact with Warner Music Group's Warner Bros. Records winding down, her camp is considering an all-encompassing music deal with touring giant Live Nation that could be worth more than $100 million.

An agreement, if struck, would create an entity that would manage all Madonna-related businesses, including albums, touring, merchandise and sponsorships over a multi-year period. Live Nation would acquire an equity stake in the pop diva's overall business.

The joint venture company would then look to enter into an agreement with a label to handle distribution and marketing support of any Madonna album releases.

Madonna is currently in London working with A-list names like Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, and Timbaland on the follow-up to 2005's "Confessions on a Dancefloor." It's the last studio album due under her existing pact with Warner and is tentatively scheduled for release later this year.

Warner Bros. Records Chairman and CEO Tom Whalley, Madonna spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg and Live Nation all declined to comment.

Privately, insiders regard the Live Nation talk as the opening salvo in what figures to be an extended re-negotiation of her deal, which was last extended in 2000.

Sources say her camp has also been shopping to other labels the joint venture concept, which follows in the vein of deals inked by EMI with Korn and Robbie Williams.

"Confessions" - a commercial and critical comeback from 2003's disappointing "American Life," was Madonna's first album with the existing Warner management team of WMG CEO Edgar Bronfman Jr., U.S. Recorded Music CEO Lyor Cohen and Whalley.

It has sold over 1.6 million copies in the U.S. and spawned a successful world tour that ranked as the top grossing series ever for a female artist. The 60-date tour generated over $193 million in reported revenues.

WMG's stock hit a new 52-week low Friday, slidding 4.8 percent, or 65 cents, to $12.76. Live Nation closed down 3.4 percent, or 71 cents, Friday to $20.14.

Gossip : Madonna in furious row with crew member

She's fiercely protective of her children and woe betide anyone who crosses her.

So when Madonna overheard someone taking a pop at her baby boy - there was only going to be one winner.

We can reveal that Madge was devastated when a female crew member bitched about her adopted son on the set of her husband Guy Ritchie's new film, RocknRolla.

And she wasn't going to let the nasty comment go...

The 48-year-old Material Girl had brought two-year-old David Banda to the 3 Mills Studios, in Bow, East London, last Friday in what was meant to be a happy family outing.

But things turned sour after Madonna overheard a conversation between two crew members.

One of them asked the other what the baby's name was. It is then claimed that one of the girls replied: "Lucky B*****d."

Our on-set source tells us: "Madonna looked astonished by what was said and words were exchanged between them.

"Madge seemed very protective of her son and didn't want anyone talking of him in such a manner.

"At the end of the day, she's just a mum and doesn't want anyone speaking ill of her family. She looked really hurt and shocked by the comment and let her feelings be made known."

It's no surprise that the culprit is no longer working on the film - written and directed by Ritchie and about London's criminal underworld - which stars Thandie Newton and Gerard Butler.

Our source adds: "It's Guy's film and Madonna is his wife, so they're very much the top dogs.

"It was a bit foolish to speak like that, to say the least, so it's no surprise it all kicked off."

It is not the first time that Madonna - who is also mum to Lourdes, 10, and six year-old Rocco - has come out fighting on behalf of baby David.

Her adoption of the youngster - who she handpicked from a Malawi orphanage last October when he was 13 months old - was mired in controversy. David's father Yohane first gave the adoption the go-ahead and later changed his mind.

As a result, Madonna was forced to defend her actions in a series of interviews for BBC's Newsnight, Oprah Winfrey and America's NBC.

A spokesperson for the film was unavailable for comment and Madonna's rep said: "We have no comment."

Mad's mob flick

It sounds like Madonna is working on her gangster image.

First, she worked closely with Timbaland on hip-hop tracks.

Now the Queen of Pop wants to make a film about her jailbird former lover, one-time New York mobster Chris Paciello.

In the early Nineties Madge was completely smitten with Paciello, who worked as a "nightclub investor" at the time.

She was introduced to the tough guy, who looks as though he stepped straight from a Sopranos script, by her best pal Ingrid Casares and started a passionate two-year relationship.

It all fell apart after he was jailed for murder following a burglary in which a woman was shot dead by an accomplice.

But I can reveal that following his release she has met him three times in the past six months to discuss making a movie about his life with her film company Maverick.

A shortlist of stars has been drawn up for the project including Mark Wahlberg, John Cusack and star of massive American sci-fi series Heroes Milo Ventimiglia.

But one man who won't be getting involved, despite a request from her Madgesty, is her hubby Guy Ritchie. He has told her he thinks the whole project is a bad idea.

My well-placed Madonna source said: "Recording with Timbaland must have given Madonna a taste for gangsters. She's back in touch with her old flame Chris.

"He led Madonna astray in 1992/1993 and most of her friends were unhappy about their relationship at the time.

"She has met him three times to thrash out a deal first when she went to LA for the Academy Awards, then twice in New York, including her most recent trip there last month.

"There's no romance. She is desperately keen to produce a film based on the book Mob Over Miami about him.

"She has always been fascinated by tough guys and loves his story."

It's rumoured Paciello, also previously linked with Jennifer Lopez, has owed Madonna more than £100,000 for over 15 years.

If Maverick gets the deal going, Madonna will serve as an executive producer on the top secret project.

But I can't imagine Guy will be happy. She already sees a lot of her ex Carlos Leon, the father of her daughter Lourdes.

Is she hunting out exes? It sounds to me like she's been bitten by the Facebook bug.

Madonna set for Simpsons Cameo ?

Pop superstar Madonna could be set for a cameo on cult animated show The Simpsons - if creator Matt Groening gets his way.
The cartoon genius is desperate for the singer to star in his series, following the likes of recent celebrity guest stars Britney Spears, Mel Gibson, Stephen Hawking, Sir Elton John and Dolly Parton.
Groening says, "We would love her to do the show. She's one of the people we haven't been able to get yet." He also revealed plans for a Prison Break episode in the near future "with tattoos and everything!"

Madonna - In the Rough

Photogs caught Madonna at JFK last night, who brought her guitar to the airport, but left her face at home.

Her Madgesty, 48, was spotted making her escape from New York, arriving for her flight sans makeup. The Material Girl kept a stone cold face when photogs tried to chat her up, barely smiling for the cameras ... wouldn't want to add any lines to that pretty face of hers!

Madonna Pops Up in Butter

A bandana-ed Ashton and wife Demi were at Bungalow 8 in Manhattan last night, Rambo-style. Bosom buddies Penelope Cruz and Shakira partied with the couple in the tropical lounge.

Further downtown, Madonna visited Butter. Two minutes after Madge's big arrival, Shakira arrived holding the hand of a gentlemen friend. Ashton, Demi and Penelope Cruz followed closely behind. Janet Jackson stopped by while boytoy Jermaine Dupri was out on the west coast.

A hot-pink-haired Kelly Osbourne chowed down at Mr. Chow's with new squeeze Jared Gorbel and PR guru Jonathan Cheban. Kelly and beau then ditched the Tribeca eatery for Butter.

Cold Shoulder

Is there a beef between Madonna and Janet Jackson?

Madge was chummy with fellow singer Shakira at Butter Monday night (our spy said they showed up "hand in hand") and was spotted dancing on banquettes with Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher and Penelope Cruz. But Jackson was holed up a few booths down and, "She was not invited to join Madonna's crew," said an onlooker, who told us the table drank "seven bottles of champagne and a ton of beer."

Rumour : Madonna buys sixth London home for £6 million

Madonna has spent more than £6 million buying her sixth London property.

The American singer and her husband Guy Ritchie last week signed a contract on the 10-bedroom Georgian townhouse in London's Marylebone.

It adjoins the eight-bedroom property the couple live in with children Lourdes, 10, and Rocco, six.

They also own two nearby mews houses, which are occupied by staff, and two other houses in central London.

Madonna, 48, and British film director Ritchie, 38, bought their latest home from designer-developer Paul Davies, who made headlines recently by asking a record £40,000 a week in rent for one of his Mayfair properties.

The couple paid almost twice the £3.1million Mr Davies spent when he bought the property in August last year, even though he has not refurbished it.

The house has six floors and includes a vaulted artist's studio which adjoins the garden wall of the family's main home.

A source said: "Madonna has been a very shrewd investor in property - this is her fourth in the area. She knows the prices are significantly lower than in Mayfair but that the area is coming up. She has said she'd like to buy the whole street.

"She was really keen to get her hands on this house because she knows once Paul Davies starts developing properties an area can skyrocket in price. She was calling him for eight months and her initial offers were rejected, but after a series of meetings he agreed to sell."

Madonna faced competition for the house from comedian Jennifer Saunders and photographer Mario Testino.

Mr Davies refused to comment but he has described the property, a former private clinic, as "a blank canvas" in need of renovation.

The house has oak floorboards and many original features.

Madonna complained recently about workmen renovating her home, saying: "I can't believe how people don't like to work. The week starts at noon on Monday and ends at noon on Friday. I'm used to people in America working seven days a week."

It is not known whether the family intend to connect their acquisition to their existing home or rent it out.

Madge's property portfolio

The singer and her husband own a string of homes on both sides of the Atlantic.

Their portfolio includes six properties in central London.

In Marylebone there is their £7 million family townhouse, the new £6million property and two mews cottages close by, one of which was bought last year for £900,000.

The singer has also bought two properties that are used by the Kabbalah religious sect. One - a £3.6 million building in the West End - is used as headquarters by the group.

The other is a £1.6 million, fivestorey Georgian townhouse in Conway Street, Regent's Park. The couple also own the 1,200-acre Ashcombe estate in Wiltshire, formerly owned by Sir Cecil Beaton, which they bought for £9 million in 2001.

In the United States they have an £8 million house in Beverly Hills and an apartment in New York.

Rumour : Madge in a tizzy

Madonna is dithering about releasing songs recorded with Justin Timberlake.
Mum-of-three Madonna, 48, went into the studio with Justin, 26, last month in a bid to get some R&B credibility.
A pal explained: "She wants to reinvent herself."
But he added: "She's got second thoughts because she's not sure the stuff she did with Justin is quite right for her new sound."

Madge facing tot battle

A human rights group plans a legal challenge to Madonna's adoption of a Malawian boy.

It claims the pop star's custody of 18-month-old David Banda is illegal.

Leader Justin Dzonzi said he would tell the country's high court no laws exist in Malawi permitting international adoptions.

Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie were granted an interim order last October letting them take custody of David for 18 to 24 months.

Critics said Madonna used her wealth to side-step the southern African country's adoption laws.

The toddler's father Yohane Banda said: "He is happy and healthy. I wish they would leave my son alone."
