Rumour : Madonna is on her way.. no touts about it

Is Madonna playing Murrayfield in Edinburgh this summer?
Word is the show is ON.
A fortnight ago, we told you the Material Girl had checked out venues in Scotland. Now, our spies tell us the date being penned in is July 28 – but her schedule is changing daily.
A Madonna insider said: “UK tour dates are under discussion. Scotland is certainly being discussed but it’s still a bit away from being cut and dried.”
Some ticket agencies claim to be selling briefs for the Capital gig already. One offered us VIP tickets at £400 plus VAT – while another had best seats at £125.
But Madonna’s people blasted the touts yesterday.

Rumour : Madonna to appear on ‘The Simpsons’?

Madonna is set to make a guest appearance on The Simpsons.
According to the Daily Star, the Queen of Pop will take a liking to Homer before going head-to-head with Marge in a battle for his heart.
“It’s Madge versus Marge, and Madonna will certainly show Homer a thing or two that Marge has never attempted,” a source told the newspaper.
The singer is following in the footsteps of U2, Elton John, Tom Jones and Paul McCartney, who have all made visits to Springfield in the past.

Guys mad on her

We get the hint. Yesterday we showed you Madonna gazing lovingly at hubby Guy Ritchie and today we have a dreamy shot of Guy kissing his darling wife.
The couple seem keen to put to rest rumours their union is on the rocks.
Madge and Guy were at a pre-Oscar dinner in LA’s Soho House hosted by its owner Nick Jones and Jamie Oliver on Thursday. The bash, which attracts Hollywood’s A-list every year, fed the likes of model Helena Christensen (pictured with Jamie) and Keira Knightley. Must have been a blast.

Gossip : Madonna eyes Israel house to await Messiah

US pop diva Madonna wants to buy a house in the Israeli town of Rosh Pina, where the ancient Jewish Kabbalah tradition expects the Messiah to appear at the end of the world, a local newspaper reported on Friday.
Yedioth Ahronoth said that the owner of a 100-year-old, ramshackle five-bedroom villa overlooking the Sea of the Galilee had been recently contacted several times by representatives of the superstar with a view to selling his property.
According to the same source, Madonna wants to renovate the building into a center of study of mystical Jewish texts pored over by Kabbalah followers.
The self-proclaimed Material Girl, a keen aficionado of the ancient Jewish mystical tradition, last visited Israel in September 2004.
She turned to Kabbalah in 1997 through the Los Angeles-based Kabbalah Center, which proclaims to offer a path to spiritual enlightenment through an eclectic mix of Orthodox Jewish tradition, visualization and positive thinking.
Two years ago she took the Hebrew name Esther and reportedly observes the Jewish Sabbath, although she has not converted to Judaism.
One of her recent dance tracks is called “Isaac”, the name of famous Kabbalah Rabbi Isaac Louria who lived and worked in the now northern Israeli town of Safed during the sixteenth century.

Madonna plays Princess

Madonna, David Bowie and Snoop Dogg are to feature in a forthcoming animated movie from acclaimed French filmmaker Luc Besson.
The trio of pop icons have contributed voices to “Arthur And The Minimoys”, which is apparently based on a popular French children’s book.
The computer-animated fantasy concerns a ten-year-old boy and his attempts to save the home of his grandmother, who is played by Mia Farrow, reports Reuters.
Travelling to the land of the Minimoys, the boy meets Princess Selenia, played by Madonna and Max, voiced by Snoop Dogg, as they travel to meet the infamous ruler Malthazar, Bowie’s character.
Luc Besson is understood to have been working on the project for three years.

Madonna Downsizes For Coachella Performance

After months of rumors, Madonna has confirmed she will perform April 30 at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, Calif. The artist will appear backed by a live band in the festival’s dance and electronica-oriented Sahara Tent, which has been headlined in past years by Kraftwerk, Underworld and Fatboy Slim, among others.
“I’ve never performed at a festival,” Madonna says, “and I’m especially excited about playing at Coachella before I start my own tour.”
That trek is expected to begin in May and visit much smaller venues than the artist has frequented in the past. It comes in support of Madonna’s 2005 album “Confessions on a Dance Floor,” which has sold 1.29 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
Madonna joins recent additions Daft Punk and Massive Attack on the bill for Coachella, which will be headlined on April 29 by Depeche Mode and April 30 by Tool.
